so i play zerg, and i have no problem with any other race, exept for protoss.

what seems to happen every game, is they mass collosi, and zealots, with some stalkers. this just tears apart my army

and i go muta's, they just get blink stalkers. what can i do, to possibly overpower the massive collosi aoe beams of death, since my zerglings cant even surround them with the zealots + forcefeilds

    re

Lings, Corruptors, if you can throw in some Ultra's to absorb damage.

    BROOOOOOOOOOD LOOOOOOOOOORDS
    Or, failing that, roach assault.

They also tend to grab two or three void rays. A devastating combo, no wonder it's called the death ball. To fight this you really need to flank. It's not a question of efficiency but of survival - without flanking you don't stand a chance sine they'll only be losing a couple of units and march straight into your bases with no time for you two reproduce your swarm.

So my advice is to learn to flank. It's relatively easy to determine where on the map it's most likely to work, but pulling it off is hard for me because I need to co-ordinate my commands with the right control groups.

The Ultra - Hydra mix is soo destructible to any protoss army combination!
i've won a lot of games in the lategame with this combo ^^

It depends though. If you went heavy roaches (which is quite common and logical in PvZ) and you have a P player who actually uses their brains rather than conventions then they'll opt for more immortals. I don't think I need to elaborate on the immortal v ultra scenario ;)

I find that ultras are a smoother transition from mutaling than roach/hydra, because you have clear upgrade paths(melee ground and air attack for broodlord support). Mutaling into broodlord/ultra/ling is quite a powerful combo, from what i've seen plus you don't get to branch off for upgrades. Broodlings/ultras/lings are all melee and mutas/broodlords are air so it fits quite well...

    Mobility

A zerg's strength is in mobility. To push in spots were the protos forces are not. Test here, test there, keep up constant pressure. Don't fight toe to toe with a protos, you will lose. Keep attacking expansions, back doors and using mutas to draw the protos army away.

If the protos splits his army, you can kill it. If he stays together, he can only be in one place.

Keep the toss down until you can do the 300 food push.
