From many videos, where Zergs are presented, we can see massive zergling attack. As there will not be any selected unit cap in SC2, spamming small, fast, and agressive zerglings will make it hard tactic to counter, especially if guy is microing very well, and got 200+ APM. What you think, dudes? :)

LOL. It'll still be possible countering massive Zergling swarms with the help of Banshees.

It's not as simple as that. Firstly, there's no cap for the selected units in the current alpha or whatever version but there might be one in the final version. Secondly, this is an awful tactic because it can be easily discovered if you go mass Zergling and once that is done it's easy to counter. Protoss can use psionic storms that will cut through them real easily or a few Colossi will do the job. Terrans can choose the Banshee which will be really cheap compared to their effectiveness against masses of Zergling. All these solutions require only a few of the mentioned units thus costing a lot less than the Zerglings.

I voted don't play Zerg but even if I did I'd choose a different tactic.

I can't wait to start swarming Zerglings! They will be countered wit Banshees and Battlecruisers.

I agree. It's actually fun to look at and your opponent would be really upset even though the threat is actually minimal. ;D

Well, zergling spam seems to be early game tactic, I mean rush. In beginning of game you don't have any siege tanks or banshees as you mentioned.

Well Protoss can build pylons to block the passage to their base though I agree that Phase Prism'ing all your units out would be tedious. But as we've seen, Zealots can hold on for quite a long time.

i hope zerglings are not super weak..
i remember about 3 or 4 zerglings can kill 1 zealot in sc1...

in the protoss gameplay....those zealots look really really powerful...pulverising those lil lings -_-. they withstand them pretty long...

even without the collosus i rkn there would only be a couple of lings left after killing all those zealots.

Totally agree, just played a match as Zerg. Zerglings in SC BW are really weak against Zealots and Marines+Medics

yep, I do it a lot on b-net, and it tends to work for a while. Getting 20 zerglings with adrenal gland will kill many units or buildings before being wiped out. I've seen 50 zergling destroy whole bases easily.

Zerglings are relatively weak. In my opinion during mid-game they are damage and space absorbers. You use them to trap the enemy and do quick damage while your ranged units are protected from the enemy melee forces.

Once you get to late-game, however, cracklings are extremely dangerous especially to buildings. Watch out for a swarm of cracklings.

Even when an enemy can obtain air superiority, a large enough swarm of cracklings can call a gg.

Ah, ok. My favorite unit. I try to get them upgraded as fast as I can. I produce zerglings, rush, keep producing, upgrade speed, upgrade to lair, build nest, kep producing, upgrade to hive, upgrade attack speed, keep producing, and if all goes well, the enemy is completely overrun. Building a few more hatcheries is mandaroty for it all to work. 8)
