Zergling and cliffs

Sorry if this is a duplicate topic (i searched and found nothing like it.)
In any case I was looking at the pics of Zerglings attacking a Terran base and noticed that all the Zerglings have wings. I found this odd considering I've never seen the likes of it on a Zergling. Then I got to thinking, what if the Zerglings can get an upgrade for moving up cliffs like a Reaper, to me it sounds a bit funny, but tell me what you think.

I personally don't like them with wings. But it's a good idea that they can jump on/off cliffs.

 

They do look funny. Like grass hoppers.

 

I think the wings should be dropped they look a little too much like bugs now. They used to look like grotesque monsters you should run from now they look like something I kill with a rolled up newspaper

 

The wings were only ascetic. Blizzard has said they are going to remodel the Zergling and it probably won't have wings.

 

It was a hope. ah well.

 

The remoddeling was supposed to adress lacking Teamcolour. The wings might be a visual upgrade like the Marines Shield, maybe they can jump cliffs, maybe it´s just to represent a speed upgrade.

 

Zergling have a use, it's called a distraction.

 

If they could jump cliffs that would make them more ambushish.

 

Now i'm Confused. I thought when you said have them jump off a cliff, that meant kill them. Like "You go jump off a cliff."

go jump of a cliff zergling! lol I'd wish they didn't have wings. They look like crickets or grass hoppers.

 

If a Tier 0 basic unit like the Zergling could scale cliffs, that would be inbalanced ex 100. Cool as it would be, practical it is not.

 

not at starting but as a late game upgrade like cracklings.

 

Yeah imagine the zergling rush if there are no natural barriers save fro water that can stop it. That would suck. If it were a mid or late game upgrade it might be ok

 

Zerglings should definitely be able to jump small amounts of terrain difference, to balance out the Terran Reaper and the Protoss Tripod (or whatever its called...THE THING THAT LOOKS LIKE THE TRIPOD WALKER FROM "WAR OF THE WORLDS!")

 

lol what?? Anyway, the wings do look very silly. I don't like them. A reaper-like upgrade might make up for it though, except it might be good for balance if the Zerg were the only race who cant scale cliffs with ground units.

Oh, come on! Who could forget that unit!

At their current stage they look absolutely terrible. Surely they will remodel them before release. However i do not think that they will be able to scale cliffs. These sort of units will be completely new and i can't wait for their release

 

For me new zerglings are terrible too... but as an upgrade to jump of the cliffs instead of using entrances would be nice... and about Zergling climbing on the cliffs it should be able after making both upgrades at Spawning Pool... and also this should take some time and there should be chance they fell of and even die, increased when attacked??

 

I dont think that idea would work very well. especially if they had a chance of falling off the cliff it was scaling. it just seems silly to me. sorry dude
