I would love to see the zerg get a mid sized (like immortal) toad like unit that moves in hop like patterns, (therfore can go up cliffs) has a long distance tounge attack that if it hits a small or mid sized unit, it drags it toward it,

would work excellent against ranged opponets to bring in closer, think about putting a small number of these behind a big group of melee fighters.

    what do you guys think?

Sounds good. Would this be the Zerg Base raider?

well mabey im not the best at describing things but the main point of this would be for them to have a mid sized unit with a draw in other units attack, would be a great strategy unit if used correctly.

+ if it did have the hop abbility you could do a quick base raid and bring the weaker units close to you to attack first, then run away when they get reinforcements.

I'm sure it would.  Snag those pesky marines just barely too far from the lings.  Would they be able to hold something in place or just pull them in

im not sure, holding would be good as individual units go but would take away the "hide behind a swarm of zerglings and suck those suckers in *en MASS*" strategy

Sounds good, but can that long tongue snatch air units as well, such as science vessels?

it should, but i guess that might make the tounge part only usefull in drawing the unit closer, would make the melee tactic useless

oh and welcome to sc2forum vahn778

sounds like an interesting idea but the zerg were never "toady" in my mind.
    toads aren't menacing enough.

sounds interesting. I'm not too sure how the toad would fit into a mainly insectoid zerg race, but I like the concept. Also, if it's going to be a frog, I think that ensnare would be be a good ability for them to have instead of with the queen. If they're toads, it makes sense for them to have a slimy mucus that they can launch at their opponents to slow them down. Would help them to isolate targets and prevent them from escaping while they attacked and destroyed them.

that's accually a lizard. it'd be cool to see them spit ensnare though. and maybe a charge up attack where he makes the gaint thoat thing puff up... maybe it's a little too froglike though.

if they're large enough, swallow units whole? I know it's too WarCraftish for everyone's taste, but it would be funny!

Also if they're toads, they should be amphibious. That would sweet for sneak attacks.

This unit might be a good evolve version of hydralisk for SC2

    /\ Froglisk FTW!!!!!

Not quite ultra... actually if it's amphibious it should totally be called the hydralisk... hydra meaning water... like hydroelectric and all that... but hydralisk is taken.

Froglisk is the close second because amphibilisk sounds dumb.

Also if zerglings look like insects (because of their wings) wouldn't make sense for the froglisk to try and eat them?
