I found this on bnet forums a good idea about zerglings having a swarm ability. zerglings have the ability to climb over each other, climb buildings and act as if they were swarms of insects. Good idea,
man, if they COULD swarm, you can forget about making "walls or doorways" as terran. imagine siege tanks...they would essentially attack your own buildings with ling swarm

Firstly, I feel that someone should point out that Zerglings "came from" the Zz'Gashi Dune Runners, which are decidedly not insects. However, they seem to have evolved in the direction of this general idea. With a little more polish, I support making this idea an upgrade. As it is now, randomly stacking zerglings just seems... wierd, so it needs some work.
i believe the "zz" part is pronounced like "zee" anyway,i don't like this swarming idea.it just seens a bit too much to me.the zerglings are already hella cheap,they come in pairs,and attack really fast.allowing them to swarm units/buildings would just make them overpower,imo...
wait..how do we know what a Zz'Gashi Dune Runner is? I always thought it was an insect. Seriously, anything with that many z's has insectiod. Its Blizzard, look at the Sithilid hive names, that sounds just like it. They probably got those name ideas from from teh dune runners. Or maybe it could be troll tribe.. not sure, haven't played WoW in a while... Anyways, swarming zerglings with those wings of their makes 'em even more locus like. Which I think really fits.
If zerglings could climb over everything, you couldn't find your own units under them, and as an enemy, you wouldn't have any chance to control the units defences.
