I am curious about the various Zerg early push strategies. I've gotten to Platinum league with a heavy micro early game, but would like to diversify.

Could you guys suggest some tactics, build orders, and also how successful these tactics have been in your experience? I don't want to spend time working on a tactic that probably won't work, even when executed well.

I know of: Baneling Bust, Roach Rush, and also Zergling rushes (although I've like to avoid cheese, no 6-10 pools please)

    Can anyone help me out?

On some maps, such as desert oasis, mutalisk rushes are viable.

In general though, early pushes are limited to low-tier units. So you basically have the majority of zerg early rush options covered.

On a side note- I would avoid a roach rush because it makes you extremely susceptible to air, so much so that it is an automatic GG if your opponent goes air early. Roaches are good for soaking up damage in a larger army but I would be afraid to make them my go-to early unit

How would a Muta rush work? Don't you really have to expand to get enough gas for the Mutas? If so how do you defend yourself from ground attacks.

What if you went roaches, then threw down an evolution chamber and some spore crawlers?

But then it would force your roaches to have to retreat back to your base to get protection, unless you have burrow + tunneling claws.

But it's a roach rush. Emphasis on rush. A good one will hit before they can rush air. I'm not trying to do a mass roach late-early game push.

On the other hand. If I did want to do that late-early game mass roach build, I could mass queens and be really pro-active about my creep.

Also, if someone has a good build for ZvZ, I'd really appreciate it. It's probably my worst matchup.
