It has no attack and it's very fast. It has an ability to attach itself to Biological units (Terran: Marine, Firebat, Medic and Ghost. Protoss Zealot, Dark Templar, High Templar. Zerg: all units) and mind control them. Controlled unit can't be killed by the enemy untill they discover the parasite. The parasite can't be seen on the units back unless there is a detector nearby. The only way to remove it is by killing the infested unit or by using Restoration ability of a medic. What do you think?
nice idea m8 but overpowered, waay overpowered i think it would be better if they attached themself to a target and then it works like the queen's parasite ability from sc1, its way overpowered if you can mind control them or if you want them to be mindcontrol the cost have to be about tripled
it doesn't make sense that the unit being mind controlled suddenly gains invincibility unless you detect the parasite. it would also mean gg if you infest an enemy and he don't have a detector. i think they should simply make the queen's parasites "cloaked" i.e. instead of giving our that obvious parasite detected warning in green, it would require a detector to reveal the parasite. it does say parasite detected after all.
Well it would be better if it could only mind controll for a short amount of time, then it would prob be balanced out
Nah. I guess it would be better if you use the restore ability. I mean, it wasn't pretty useful so it should be right if you use it to cure the parasite.
I think it should be a nerfed version of Mind-control ability of Dark Archon. But hitting the same targets that Spawn broodling could hit. Perhaps if it weren't yet another ground zerg unit, to be countered by anti-ground AoE/splash dmg like the rest. Ultimately, a temporary mind-control that, should they choose to keep the unit they have to avoid killing it. Otherwise it would be targeted as an enemy just like the rest. 'Micro-hell' that's how I would call it! ^_^ In short time the unit would either come back to your army a little wounded by friendly fire, would kill a lot of yours if you care too much about it and forget the rest, or be killed and not come back at all! This way the attachment to the friendly unit would come from the player instead of inability to kill it unless detected.
What do you mean: If one of your Marines, starts walking off on its own, or attacking your units, or even if it hasn't been parasited you should be able to attack it! So if one of your troops is mind controlled this way, he can start shooting up your army until you get a detector over there? Terrible idea. Maybe if it could always be attacked it'd be OK, but it would need some way of not just immediately attacking enemy forces. Picture this, there's a group of Marines or similar standing in a group and you manage to parasite one. That newly parasited unit would immediately start attacking the others. It would need some kind of passive stance, like Dawn of War, so that you could slowly sneak your unit into the fog-of-war. But finally, I still think that Mind Control should be exclusive to Protoss in StarCraft:BroodWar.
