I need some serious strategic suggestions for Zerg; in-depth ones, if you don't mind taking the time to watch the replay and respond accordingly.

If you do decide to watch the replay, you'll know that I'm absolutely at a loss as to what I could have done in that case. I can think of various counter-strategies, but they don't seem as if they'd work out any better than the one I used.

    Help me out, please.

No replay here to download :/ When it comes to zerg, it's not recommended if you are totally new to sc2, but here is some advice:

*Build lots of drones, when you have about 9/10 command points, get a overlord up. Then continue making drones
*Build a spawning pool early in the game, when you got about 10 drones is a good time
    * When your spawningpool is up, get about 4 zergelins to make your opponent paranoid. If he can't defend himself against zerglins so well at that point, continue making zerglins.
*Buy the upgrade to speedlingz as fast as you can, remember to gather vesipen.

Then make a spire, and use mutalisks to kill of his workers from behind :p Make hydralisks and ultralisk to finish him off :p

Thats a baisc zerg tactic :p Try to play around with diffrent tactics, and make your own ;) Reading of tacts on forums is not always the best :p Self developed tacts that are unfamilliar to your opponent, is the best builds :p

You played really well the majority of the game, but here is one major thing I noticed that your enemy did more effectively than you.

He was massing his units a lot more quickly and effectively.

Notice how many hatcheries you have.

Now look at your opponents base and notice how many gateways he has.

    See a difference?

He has 6 gateways lined up against your 2-4 hatcheries. You can't beat that even if you tried. Not to mention he is defending his expansions more aggressively than you. That's what made him win in the long run.

Line up 3-6 hatcheries and consider that you're factory. It will dramatically increase your unit production rate and improve your odds of keeping up with an aggressive opponent like that.

What I would have done different:

Banelings against zealot push, backed up by speedlings against the stalkers.
And after pushing him back, I would have sent 8 or more speedlings to his min line, to finish him with the next wave of speedlings, maybe backed up by some banelings if he had some spare resources for building more units. In my eyes, after his second push, you had a slight advantage. You didn't know, but you would have if you sent some speedlings.

harrass with like 12-16 speed-lings, run into his base, rape his workers...

keep harassing with mutalisk if you need to, and finish the game by mass hydras+roaches

i saw quite a few things that went wrong.

first of all the placement of your spawning pool wasnt great. it was easily accessible to early attacks which if destroyed would have made you open to attacks and probably GG.

your first expansion got destroyed which doesnt seem that big but it puts you back and as a weaker race like zerg you need ever advantage you can get. you also didnt defend your expansions very well.

didnt see a need for you building the extractpr before your spawning pool. you also went roach warren when getting attacked by zealots. that money could have been used for lings for defense.(personally preference but if you were going early roaches then fine.)

you were never aggressive. as zerg you should be constantly pushing and create more and more troops and constant harassment. seemed like you let him attack you.

the protoss went higher tech than you. he went templars and archons. you only got tier one units. think you might have been better off getting mutalisks.

one other small thing i saw was that you didnt upgrade your overlord/overseer speed. if he would have attacked your main with dt's then by the time your overseer(which was at your natural) got to your main it would have been GG.

plus he had two expansion to your two expansions. as zerg you always want to have more expansion because more expansions mean more money and gas and more importantly you can make more troops. he had an expansion on a high mineral field. as zerg you should be constantly scouting for expansion and taking them out with your speedlings, especially if they are not defended very well which i believe his were not.
