I played now through all Zeratul missions and found that Zeratul's voice, sounds kinda strange. I mean not protoss like but almost Terran maybe. The other protoss always have a quite "booming" voice but Zeratul sounds like an old man. Not badass enough. OK, maybe old man is a bit wrong here but I think you know what I mean.
As far as I can tell, zeratul IS an old man. That may be why he sounds like one. Also, IMO a stealth guy with a booming voice makes little sense... sry for harsh troll..
I think the DT's are a lot more chilled out than the zealots. They spend a lot more time hiding and being stealthy than the zealots do. Zealots and standard followers of the Khala order are like BAAAHHHH IN YO FACE PSI ENERGY ATTACK BIYAAATCH. Yknow, loud like that.
I do like Zeratul's old voice actor better, but his old voice actor (Jack Ritschel) kicked the bucket as I understand it, which would thusly lead to a complication in rehiring him. The new guy really doesn't sound so bad, just different. I forgot Zeratul's age, but I think he's a couple thousand or something years old, which would be "old man" in Protoss-world. The one thing that does kind of annoy me, is thatI'd like to know what the spur was behind changing the syntax of how the Protoss speak. I mean, in the original Starcraft they spoke just like anyone educated in the [modern] English language would speak. The new Protoss speak like someone doing a Yoda or Shakespeare impersonation: "Friend Raynor! Long has it been since last we spoke." While in the original he would say something like "James Raynor, it has been a long time since we last spoke." ... Come on, that doesn't bother you guys too?
Nice point Gaberl. It doesn't bother me too much, but I haven't really noticed that until you brought it up. Poor old Zeratul's massive brain must be getting tuckered out, lol.
Hah, could be. I guess if the end of the universe is right around the corner your brain might fry a bit ... Or a writing staff thought it'd give him a more epic feel
