Just uploaded a quick tutorial about one of the lamest yet effective strats so far. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78quzzhnmE8
Yea this wont work against seasoned players as they know to wall off their choke points and if they don't know then this should hopefuly give them a lesson. To be fair though there are no rules to war and the Geneva Convention does not apply to SC. If I'm playing on a team where one of then is Terran, which is usualy the case, if they scan and I see some fool without a wall on his choke point then this is what they get.
Aye this strategy can be very quickly countered, there is no arguing that. However, I tend to start making Void Rays on the side while constantly pummeling down the enemies resources, just so I at least have some lasting power.
bwahahahaha that was awesome!!! i think i've actually got pwned by that startegy before... well there suddenly was 4 early zealots in my main and that was just GG (i didn't scout btw)
This is not a bad strategy at all, to be honest. Just very risky. I would modify it. Instead of building a separate cluster of gateways, why not simply build a pylon next to your enemies base and warp your units in? That would likely be much more effective and less risky than building an entire base out there. Plus, you could make a better chance at defense because you are not reliant on making buildings far from your economy.
I've thought about it, but if your pylon gets destroyed you are completely screwed. If they see 3 Gateways the most they can do is "Oh ****, hes rushing." They can't exactly destroy your gateways when you have armies of Zealots flowing out.
True, but they can destroy your base, which would be relatively defenseless at this point. I'm just saying, that's how I'd prefer it. Keep the pylon in a discreet place and mass out zealots from the psi network.
Even if they rush your base, your Zealots should be able to take the enemy down before they take you down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CA7I0EX74U
