Charge or Leg Enhancements? Which one do you think is better? Pros and Cons? As you all know in SC2 the Leg Enhancements is no longer available I personally think that... In the early game Charge is better since it gets the "short distance dash forward when getting near to the enemy" upgrade for free. But in middle/long game i think the Leg Enhancements is much better. Do you ever compare a zealot with non-LE and a zealot with LE? It does make a lot of difference. And also the zealot in SC2 is now have 150hp, down 10 from 160
yes, at least last i heard anyway, and that was about last year and Jon told us not Blizzard, so they might have changed it now.
Apparently the zealots have a tad more speed than the original zealots. I guess the charge makes it easier to target enemies.
yeah, i've heard, that zealots are abit faster now than the sc1 zealots. Plus with the charge ability its *thumbs up* well, thats wut i tink.
well i truely dont kno wat to say... 1.)If the zealots r faster then they dont need the LE just the charge 2.)If the zealots r not faster then they do need the LE and the charge would be nice 3.)They could leave out the LE and the charge and the zealots could such a--.........(i had to have three options)
If the Zealots are same speed as SC1, then moving my Zealots across the map will be a slow and tedious process. I would like my LE back in this situation. If they are faster, then Charge is good, since zealots can get that extra boost of speed when needed to attack.
I'd personally like charge better, because u dont need to walk all the way across the map slowly, warping in at a proxy pylon or phase prism is the option in this case, you can cover a lot of ground this way. Also charge helps zealots swarm the enemy, kinda like zerglings, and it helps alot when hunting down escaping enemys.
I'm pretty sure we'll be getting both. I think Starcraft wiki confirms it. Having both won't really "overspeed" the zealots in my opinion. If Zealots lost their leg enhancements, this means zerglings or marines using stimpacks and speed upgrades will easily kite off the zealots. I don't like the idea of having to use charge every time around just to catch up to the unit. If hydralisks have speed upgrade, then Zealots should be able to match their speed with an upgrade. Otherwise, what is the point of giving charge to the zealots? If Zealots could not upgrade speed, then charge basically replaced the speed upgrade. Nothing much is changed there, and certainly the Zealots have not changed for the better. With charge though, we're going to be seeing a new face of zealot bombing. Siege tanks will have a damn hard time. Not to mention, the new protoss units are all basically made to counter siege tanks. The immortal will reduce the siege tank damage to just 10, whiles the stalkers will quickly break into the siege tank defenses. I can't wait to see how the professional starcraft players use these new units.
Charge alone will have a huge effect on battles. I'm fairly certain a speed bonus is included with charge.
The people from Blizzard already said the increased the Zealot speed and they also get their charge ability so win <3
I think zealots with charge is enough. I don't really need leg enhancements, because if they run ahead off the fire support, they are going to die anyways, though if they move slower than the support theres a problem. The charge already give some anti-kite ability trhough the instant close, so it doesn't really need that second speed advantage.
