What is your strategy when you play as protoss? I make a wall at my choke point with dragoons and cloak them with an arbiter. I make sure to put the arbiter far away enough so it can't be attacked. :D

Make a crap load of Carriers and Reavers, and seven Arbiters. Send six Arbiters into the base, and Recall the Carriers and Reavers. If I get nuked, I either Stasis or Recall back to my base.

when against terrans: just a mass group of zealots and archons............not sending dragoons or carriers because of the annoying lockdown.................

against zerg: carriers are great, just watch out for scourges

A good zerg player can use Defiler to take down carriers with Plague.. Then they send in Hydralisks and use Dark Swarm to cover them.. Then you need to send your Zealots into the Dark Swarm and slay down the Hydralisks(couse range attack miss in the swarm, melee attack dont ;D) and when they run out of the Swarm to defend them self, then you have the Carriers useful again with support from Dragoons and High Templars, and ofcourse Dark Archon with mealstorm.
But this is pure late game :)

Against Terran i go Speedlot, Dragoons and HT. Using Hallisunation on Zealots and send real zealots and hallisunated from 2 sides with Dragoon backup and some HT who release their storm above the Siege Tanks.
Later i build a few carriers(I try to hide the Stargates well so that the Terran wont suspect anything) but i never mass carriers alone.. they need support.
Then I will use Arbiter recal drops on Terran excpansions.

Actualy I suck vs Zerg, but i go Speedlot, few Goons, Dark Archons and High Templars.

Against Protoss I mass Dragoons with some support from Speedlot and High Templars and Dark Templars.
Later i use some carriers too :)

Strange, my comp opponent knows to send their scourges to my carriers
I like using carriers against the zerg because i don't havr to send an observer along for lurkers...
sometimes throw in a psionic storm on their clusters of burrowed units! :D

Lol, that's fun, but what's really fun is if you know they're there, send in a bunch of Dark Templar, then an Observer. Never even know what hit 'em ;D

    Nice ;D

I love owning Zerg with mealstorm and Psionic storm ;D

My observers will tell me where the Zerg are gathering their forces and then I will do some seriously harrasment to their army before they attack :D

A Terran player wold not use marines against Protoss if he is not rushing or very, very good ;)
But in 3v3(or 4v4) then a Terran would probably mass Marines(and medics and firebats probably ;)) and then is Psionic Storm a very good ability to slaughter down his armies ;D

    From:
    New Zealand
    archons against zergs always
carriers works if you can micro-manage unleash the interceptors retreat the carriers rebuild ceptors and sacrifice the ceptors to the scrouge.
terran i hate. dark templars as the terran are the least likely to detect them

wow, you guys seriously use a lot of the later stuff a lot, I usually get headlocked with anyone I'm versing making a slow upgrade for both of us and keeping the main focus on remaking units to keep the base(s) protected. Personally I'd never use carriers against zerg, scourge are cheap as hell and can have a lot made at a time (2 per egg) making them much cheaper than carriers, much faster to create and much more damaging if used against carriers. Against zerg I quite like to make early corsairs (dw) and back them up with a force of goons and zealots with the main target being the overlords (aiming to give them trouble with population). Once/if thats achieved I usually make a lot of zealots with goons to back them up to destroy them. If I have time I also get Dark Templars because without the overlords around the attacking force they cant defend from them.

Against terran I'm worse.. I vary what I do but I really need a more fixed strategy to really do better.
I usually make sure I get a drop in to limit what they can build but other than that it mostly depends on what the terran is doing.

Meh, I SUCK at Protoss.. but I just mass DA's, if they've ignored me long enough for me to do that, they deserve having their hard-earned guys turn against em'.

Mass DA, as in you mass Dark Archons????? wow that's rather different....Or did you mean you mass dark templar?....
anyway massing dark templar + zealots + archons are good against Terrans. don't make too make dragoons because of the ever annoying lock down and they are clumspy and always have trouble navigating through tight spaces

The Protoss is actually surprising easy to use, I personally find it needs less micro than Terrans.

First, the fact that you only need a probe to tap in the matrix then the building can warp in by itself is a huge advantage.

Second, one Zealot cost only 100 minerals + 2 supplies and it can certainly take down 4 zerglings or 2 marines.

The Protoss's dragoons and archons and DTs are very powerful and can generally look after themselves pretty well. They only micro needed is the HT with their psionic storm. The powerful spell in the entire game.

I personally don't rely much on carriers because they can die just as easy as mass ground units. But they are nice for the visual effects :D

Finally a reaver drop is surprising easy to coordinate, all you really need is dragoons and zealots for backup, then it can destroy a whole base.

Hope that helps, but I know my advice is not as good as Remy's :p

It is unwise to let Dragoons fight for themself! They are also much more poweful while microed!!
