Well today I was with my mom and she said her laptop(Gateway M-6889) is too big, so she bought the Acer One She is gonna use it in the library research and such so she says. So what do you think? In my opinion I see no real point in them. The reason they are so small it's because of no cd/dvd drive.
hey if your mom has money to upgrade her laptop size.. then more power to her ^_^ tell her ill gladly take the old one off her hands.
Well I assume netbooks are smaller? They look nice and I can imagine them having a huge size and weight advantage over laptops, especially when carried around on a daily basis, like to university and things like that. But I wouldn't need the pressure of having to squeeze the thing all day long because others would 'like it'. I would only sleep well if it was locked away
Yeah netbooks are smaller then laptops, No CD Drive is the big thing that makes them smaller. Yet, they have decent feartures like the One has a 120 GB HD and 1 MB of Memory
i have a laptop weighs nothing.... well i mean i have no problems i use it for work... i mean its heavy to carry ALLL day... but i dont carry i take put back and follow haha

I think Netbooks are uselless, and not because of the lack of an optical drive. They are REALLY slow machines (my iPhone has better hardware than most netbooks), and I don't think there is a place for something between the PDA/Smartphone and a Notebook...
yes 2can i know :| its cause your boring me my blackberry has better memory than all netbooks and i prefer my laptop over any netbook anyday...
