By my own computer nonetheless. You see, I was messing around with the command prompt (very bad) and I happened to change some of the passwords including my own. So you guys wouldn't happen to know if there was a way to reset passwords without reformatting the whole computer, would you?
try a recovery ? All I know is as long as you doesn't change the BIOS password, you can get the password back
You're going to have issues from now on because most recovery programs edit the registry. This is why you should always be prepared to reformat on a moment's notice.
My account was administrative and it was the only account on that computer. So I just went what the hell and reformatted everything.
it is possible to reinstall windows without a hard drive wipe but it will break each and every single program that requires a registry entry.
Meh, reformatted and it kicks ass just as ever. But somehow my overclocking got undone and it was a pain to get it back up.
ahh, windows....i departed from you years ago. just get a mac for goodness sakes and save yourself the trouble. it's well worth the extra you pay for it
Mac = Garbage for video games/ REAL Computer Nerds OC'ing can be done in the BIOS, i usually use the BIOS since its..... safer from what i hear, the software that is used to OC is usally kinda garbage.
That happened to my friends computer, you have to have a program that you can download of the internet on a CD or Flash Drive. But, you already reformated, oh well, your choice.
