    Or will it be exactly the same? I think because the Xel'Naga didn't stay for such an extended period that there should just be tid bits of Xel'Naga culture that would rub off of the Protoss. The scientific calculating examinations of many situations for example I believe is just Xel'Naga scientist talk that kind of sticked with them. Obviously the technology adapted to mimic Xel'Naga technology. The language however is something that I believe has a singularly Protoss quality.Up for discussion.

    The xel'naga left behind artifacts with runes. The Shelak Tribe couldn't read the runes, as they didn't know how to record information that wasn't psionic.

    When the temple at Bhekar Ro activated, a Dark Templar, Xerana, was able to discern a warning within its psionic scream. (The temple had to lrue protoss to work, so the warning was counterproductive.)

    I suspect the major cultural mark is imitation. The nexus looks like a xel'naga pyramid for a reason.

    Maybe Xel'naga temple was a false idol for the protoss... what if the Xelnaga just wanted to shape the protoss the way they wanted too??

    Or maybe they like pointy things too.... hmmm... if protoss is solid structures, zerg is squishy structures... does that finalize that the zelnaga are gonna be in Liquid, Gas or Energy type units/structures???

    If you say culture thats livelihood, lifestyle and general so perhaps they will be more of a cultist type group lol

    Think of it like this if you ever played halo

    covenant = protoss
    humans =terran
    flood = zerg
    forerunners = Xel'naga

    The protoss are different because they arent on the same technology ring as the Xel'naga which had the ability to create worlds, influence evolution, and pretty much have complete control over space which in essence the protoss had for the most part but their tech wasn't at the final stage of development yet and the protoss saw them as gods.

    Same with the forerunners in halo and both races where almost destroyed by their flood/zerg creations.

    The forerunners didn't make the flood, they found it after it invaded their space if i remember correctly.

    They stored the flood in the ring to contain them and study them before the Forerunners themselves became extinct. They probably knew how to keep things under control in the ring when they were in charge of it. It was the Convenant who let them lose carelessly.

    OT: I personally think that the Xel N'aga have a much different culture than the protoss. I don't think they were warlike like the protoss.

    Hopefully in SCII we will run into some evidence that will give us an idea of what their biology was like and where there homeworld might be.

    (not sure it's correct word by word but I agree on the overall meaning)
    Zeratul: "Xelnaga are a bunch of babies toying with the incommensurable power they have been given".

    I'd say I have to agree :)

    Xelnaga are a bunch of scientists doing experiements.
    Protoss, while using some of the Xel Naga's powers, seem to be more war-oriented.

    What leads me to such a conclusion is that these Xelnaga got pwned by both Toss and Zergs ^^, and had to flee "despite their superioir technology"
