Ok. Those who have BlizzCon card beta here can expect that will come out beta version of StarCraft II games for free download. This site is currently rediriguje the WOW page, but expect that it will soon change. It also says come after the November 13, but not only wrote wich year))

 

Does Blizzard accept firstborn children or beloved kittens as payment into the beta?

 

ok can somebody clear that up for me...i just got a beta key (there on ebay if you want one) and im curious to when beta testing will be available. I thought blizzard said it wouldnt be till 2009 sometime.

 

The date might just be the time when registration opens, saying nothing about the start time of the actual beta.

 

This may be a stupid question, but how do you even sell a beta key on ebay without getting the auction removed? I went to Blizzcon and have two of the SC2 keys, but there's no way I'm going to use them.

 

Blizzard didn't give the CD keys to you to scalp. I see your side of it but Blizzard will just continue to try to shut you down.

 

I just checked ebay for keys and I only found 2, and the starting price isn't all that bad, especially if you're a real fan. My question is, is it legal to sell or buy this kind of thing?

 

No, it's definitely against the ToS, which is why I was asking if there was a loophole I was unaware of. I haven't tried to sell mine, but I know that Blizzard will (usually) have the auctions taken down.

 

I've heard that Karune and various other Blizzard sellers said that the CD keys are somehow locked to your personal name and credentials thus cannot be used by anyone but yourself .. Sadly, I don't think the people that bought them knew that

 

I know that that doesn't hold to the Blizzcon keys. The cards were sitting in piles, and the person who purchased the tickets was handed one for each badge/goody bag. There was no way for Blizzard to associate them to an account.

 

I've just heard that. Maybe there is. Until I see someone who has tried it or Blizzard denies it, I will continue to assume it is a possibility.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, I think it was BlizzCon 2008 tickets that had that security ... not the cards with the cd key and the polar bear mount on it.

If you try to sell a beta key your auction will be shut down. I tried to sell a beta key for COD4 a year ago, and it was shut down. People will make sure it is too, so their is no point trying.

 

We all know Blizzard is bad at meeting deadlines *Sigh* Frankly I'm amazed they even suggested that might be this year.

On another note, I don't think this topic should be locked, but maybe all those ebay posts could get deleted.

Because neither Ebay nor Blizzard approve of them, and people shouldn't be allowed to flout the rules. Mind you, I'm not a moderator, I'm just trying to save the thread.
