seeing as there is so much attention to lore WoW screwed up, i thought i'd give it a counterthread, where we talk about new lore introduced or extended in WoW

the first topic is: the flesh curse
when the titans left the world of azeroth, they left behind their children: the giants, the mechagnomes and the earthen, who sealed themselves in underground vaults.
But the old gods were still lurking and they tried to poison the creatures, which resulted in the creation of the vrykul, the gnomes, and the the dwarves

Most of this was in books before WoW came out. I don't recall ever hearing of mechagnomes, but who cares about gnomes >.>
No points for WoW this time, but please do go on

as i said, extended upon can also be spotligthed, in the books the old gods werent mentioned in conjunction with the curse, and i never heard of the Vrykul before WoW

woops, sorry, i must have had a messed up brain when i typed it, ill edit

what strikes me is that some races were afflicted moe then others, the Vrykul changed shape far more then the Earthen
i also wonder what would happen if a titan would get affected by this curse

Vrykul were the sea giants from WC3 or what?
Change from stone/metal (earthen/gnomes) to flesh is pretty big imo

No no, the sea giants are just giants... of the sea.

Unless I forgot something from the Vrykul lore, then no. I don't think that's where they came from.

Only one thing to say: I think the Vrykul should have been a playable race. I would have given ANYTHING to play them.

Giant Vikings > Space Goats and Animu Elves.

Because apparently they're ****ing dumb, and think of him like a god, just because he's a powerful mother****er. Or, mayhaps, the leaders of the Vrykul are in league with him, and their followers are just following the word of their masters.
