I gave up on WoW after WotLK. Been playing since vanilla WoW and all I saw was dumbing of the content more and more until when people started puging ALL the instances in WotLK two weeks after release I just got the **** out of there.
But I am still interested to see in whats going to happen.

WoW lore is corrupted since Burning Crusade.

Also this doesn't sound right since Goblins are neutral since Second War and Gilineas thing is just.... I am not sure but is strange. And Carine a traitor? All of this sounds to retarded even for WoW standards.

Actually its pretty logical(by WoW standards). Garrosh hates the alliance far more then thrall and he especially hates King Varyan Wrynn. King varian Wrynn was freed from slavery by cairne bloodhoof(who at the time didnt know that La'gosh was in fact king varian wrynn).
The Garrosh vs Wrynn parts of the horde and alliance have been built up for quite a while now.

what i do wonder is how Thrall relinquishes command. Maybe this happens while he is kidnapped by the alliance?

WoW and logic are like water and fire. I don't know why I posted since I gave up of thinking that Blizzard will stop butchering Warcraft lore. If they do that with Starcraft then I'll stop playing Blizzard games.

But as for the topic why isn't there new class for goblins and Vorgen?

dont know. My guess is that there will be a new hero class but that no info has been found about it just yet.

and i strongly disagree that this story would butcher lore. Advancing the story isnt butchering lore you know =D Goblins have been part of the horde before and Gilneas part of the alliance, and after the cataclysm i'd say they need help and protection since they live at sea.

Both Deathwing and the naga queen are classic WoW characters and this seems like a thing they'd both do.

A problem with many WoW fans in my opinion is that they started calling any plot advancement a lore rape, just because it happens in WoW, people didnt go all ragey when the night elves were introduced in WC3, so i dont understand what the problem is with factions like the Ebon blade and the Wyrmrest accord.

there were some bad thing in TBC, yes. But that doesnt mean that WotLK was bad as well.

So Garrosh portrayed Cairne as a traitor since King Varyan Wrynn was freed by him and then Garrosh murdered Cairne? If so then poor Cairne Bloodhoof :(

    yes, poor Cairne Bloodhoof.
Garrosh was always supposed to be aggresive, dumb and ignorant. There are some quests and conversation lines in Borean Tundra which clearly demonstrate this, for an example when he sends the player and a single assasin against a powerfull necromancer and you need to get saved secretly by his second in command before Garrosh would hear that you are caught, because Garrosh would think weak of you after your failure.

Garrosh goes against Thrall's policy of peace on every possible occasion, and loathes his idea of peace with pinkskins.

One annoying thing though, but not to do with Cataclysm: in the next patch Onyxia's lair will return, but in fact Onyxia was killed by Wrynn when he took back stormwind.

Well Muradin, Dreadlords, Teron Gorefindr and many many more are dead yet they are alive in WoW. Only Lothar, Uther, Doomhamer and Gul'dan are really dead. One thing about WoW is that everything must not have sense.

Actually Varimathras always planned to betray Sylvanas, makes sense to me that the dreadlord killing he did was a fake. Ill give you that Muradin is a stretch, but Teron actually died, all that is left is his spirit.

WoW makes a lot more sense if you look closer for a second and not just yell: OMIGOSH HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD, BLIZZARD HAS BECOME A POWERHUNGRY MONEY-OBSESSED PIRATE

I don't think the lore in itself is wrong, I think that what truly kills lore is the fact that, for example, you can kill a major character like Illidan many many times and It obviously doesn't make any sense. Let alone If you pursue the archievement where you need to kill all major faction leaders. The lore itself was kinda meh in tbc but they made it right in wotlk. In fact, the whole phasing thing allowed them to give players the ability to truly modify the enviroment, or ''leave their mark on the land'' (like the wrathgate questline for horde, which imo was superbly awesome)

However, all things considered, the amount of lore content added in WoW is gigantic, compared to WC3. So all in all I guess its a positive thing for lore lovers

Though I would copy and paste a post I made in another forum regarding this. This has been a rather interesting hoax so here is some information about it.

I was following this for awhile yesterday. Found a few pages that confirmed that whatever(the lore) SA(Something Awful) gave to Boubouille has been claimed as a massive fake. However whatever Boubouille found in the game files from datamining does seem to be true. So I should have been a bit more specific and stated that whatever SA gave (I believe it was all the lore) was false. Not exactly sure what else was given by them, but from what I can gather the lore at least was what was quoted.

    http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...id=1&pageNo=13

Thats the thread started on WoW forums by the SA member that was linked and later removed on MMO champion. You can read the OP of that threads opening post and then for further confirmation at page 9. However it then appears that the members of Goon Squad a WoW Guild were the ones who perpetuated the rumor through SA. So the Cataclysm is half fact, half fiction.

Here is the image the guy in the WoW thread posted. http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/3...actorsclub.png

That is all I have on it besides what they say elsewhere. What I find funny is that it appears more and more that there is a great deal of chaos going down. Thought this might interest some of you.

Sorry but I can't just be silent.... You say there is logic? Well ok I'll go more in details.

-Varimtharas surely isn't loyal to Sylvanas but he would kill his brother to save him self since they all see him as betrayer. Also I meant Mal Ganis who was killed by not so cursed and powerful sword called froustmourne. Also where is logic Dreadlords starting a holy battles vs evil? And how to start crusade when there isn't Christianity. And why isn't Deathroth alive when he actually has an alibi? Like he was just injured in battle

-Muradin was sacrifice needed so Arthas could used Lich Kings sword. He having miracles amnesia and joining ice dwarves who somehow were undetected by all beings living and dead who ytake him as their ruler?

-For Teron died in that "small" explosion that you know destroyed Dreanor. If it can destroy planet why wouldn't it destroy one person?

There is point of death and it isn't just like OMG HE WAS DEAD WHY IS HE ALIVE. Do I need to make more details and find more dead alive guys?

And there are other things that don't make sense but this isn't place to post them.

okay then let me rephrase: Mal'Ganis survived and the other dreadlords did too. I would say that there is a secret to the dreadlords that makes them a lot harder to kill. Varimathras knew about this and killed the other dread guy because he knew he would be ressurected(or perhaps he did not know)

misleading an army of naive humans by pretending to be hear the voice of their god and disguising yourself as their leaders as too lead them to the citadel of a king you have qualms with doesnt sound dreadlordish to you?

-Muradin is a stretch yes. But undiscovered hidden races are a pretty common theme in fantasy, so that is not much of a stretch at all.

-because draenor did not explode, it was ripped apart, big difference. And it was changed to ripped apart in WC3 already, so that is not a WoW thing.

Then why are only two dreadlords alive and not the rest? Dreadlords were given in wow immortality which even Archimond doesn't have and he controlled them (unless he is also alive). I understand how Liches can be revived but for dreadlords is to much. Why is Mal Ganis alive when was killed by Frostmourne and Deathoroc who died in battle isn't revived? Also I don't argue with drealords tricking it is the trick they are using. Crusade is holy Christian war so how can there be crusade when Humans of Azeroth don't believe in god? They believe in Holy Light which isn't same (no Jesus and all that).

For ice dawrves I meant the fact that they accepted Muradin as their leader not their existence.

Ok Draenor was torn apart so what are the chances for anyone to survive that? Shouldn't they be sucked in numerous dimensions or simply torn apart or something?

Admit that Blizzard is recycling ever main character from Lore that has less then minimum chances to be alive. Hack they are recycling everything and adding more on the same. (orcs need just two more colors and we can call them power orc rangers)

the crusade is just a name, you are searching way too much behind it.

And perhaps Detheroc also survived but is still hidden.

and the chances are pretty big seeing as in Warcraft 3 and in WoW Draenor still has living beings on it. And he didnt actually survive Draenor being torn apart, but merely his body did, he was then ressurected as a ghost.

And no, i wont admit that, Proudmoore is still dead, as is lord garithos. Medivh is also still dead(and does not appear in contradiction to WC3). Grom hellscream is dead.

The pitlord of outland is a stretch that he still alive, but him not dying doesnt really change that much in the story.

There are a few characters who's "ressurection" is a stretch, but it is not like every dead person from lore is suddenly alive.

Medivh didn't die (well not second time) so he can still be used. When did he die in Warcraft 3?

Magtheridon alive does make semi important fact since Ilidan is milking his blood to fed fel orcs.

They didn't recycled all warcraft 3 heroes because it is last game before WoW (then again they might do it? Like undead Garithos or naga Proudmore) And like characters from Warcraft 1 and 2 aren't recycled? Like Zul'jin? He wasn't in warcraft 3 then suddenly he loses eye and arm (couldn't he cut other rope) and creates Frankenstein type monsters .

Blizzard has to many stretches and not just in resurrection department. And is it ok to post here this? I mean this isn't quiet on topic.

dont worry, every WoW discussion turns into this.

But Magtheridons death was an easy retcon, which i am all pro. And Medivh stated that the world wouldnt need him anymore and he vanished at the end of WC3, also easy for him to return, yet he did not.

I havent played WC2 or 1, but it seems like its hard to cut loose chains with a spear(i have WoWwiki as a source). But losing an arm to escape isnt really weak story telling. And its pretty logical for Blizzard to use all surviving characters in an MMO, and Zul'jin survived so you could have bet a dozen bucks that he would return.
