Gibson SG Standard - Heritage Cherry: $1659 (Originally $2549) Line 6 Spider III 150W 2x12 Stereo Combo Amp $499.99 (Originally $699.99) Is it worth it? Comment even if you don't know a thing about guitars and amps. Any suggestions or recommendations are appreciated.
Amp sounds worth it to me. Not so much with the guitar, though at 40% off it is a good deal I suppose.
i would love a gibson SG standard!!!! there so expensive buhhtt... >.< tahts a alright deal, if you have the money...cuz i dont even have that money atm.
Compared to the original price, it seems like a good bargain, but you don't know if there was even an original price. Maybe they are just saying it's 40% off when that is it's normal price. 1600 still seems like a lot to me for just an electric guitar. My older brother got a nice electric guitar plus an amp for about 300-400 dollars.
The official price is on their official sites. And Gibsons are really expensive. Some of them price up to over $5000. And for good reason, too. They make the best guitars out there. Any ideas for the amp around $400-500, then? My budget's somewhere around $2000 and I'm set on the guitar for sure. I'm not looking for a tube amp or anything fancy, just something that's good for a wide variety of music.
Ugh... i'm not a fan of gibson. To expensive if you ask me. I'd go for an ibanez or jackson or something (but thats only because i love shred guitar). But it doesn't matter what i think, even though that is the point of the thread, as long as ur happy with it thats all that matters.
^ whats the diff between a shred guitar and a normal guitar? Isnt shredding like playing really fast notes (like fast soloes) i like Ibanez guitar, i actually wanna get one.
Ibanez makes good guitars. Their necks are really fast and the guitar overall is great for shredding, especially for metal. I would've gotten an Ibanez except I realized I wanted to play more music than just metal, and Gibson has a better sound IMO. By all means, though, get an Ibanez if you want it. Most of their guitars are great for the money.
