If I wanted to pay to grind I'd buy a ton of peppercorns.

Well you'll never make it to 80 that way.

I suppose it's to be expected from somone who lists life in the wrong place.

World of WarCraft actually had, and has, a lot less grinding than other MMO's of its time, the others literally being a grind, and Wrath is supposed to have improved all that again.

Meh I could never get into moving to a spot and having the game autofire from there. If walking around didn't intterupt casting and firing it might be tolerable.

So.... What? You tried a Mage once and labelled all other characters accordingly?

I tried a couple of characters.

What can I say. I prefer Diablo style figting where I can actually run away without dying, or reposition into a more optimal spot while reloading.
I am also not a fan of games that consist of collecting 100 rats assholes and then do a milkrun, escpecially since the rats don't allways drop assholes so you have to kill 400 of the weak little buggers. Of course the difficulty curve is messed up too. You can kill the starter monsters faster than they spawn(one shot kills = bad) but the second you leave the noobzone you get stabbed in the back by a thug (3 km agress zone is too big)

I wasn't going through every possibility, jiff... And it wouldn't apply to Hunters. They gotta be pretty mobile.

@ BoP. Which characters? Rogues fight more along the lines of Diablo, especially in PVP. Also, no quests are compulsory, even in the starting areas mobs aren't killed faster than they spawn unless you're being griefed, and there's a simply transition from the starting zone onwards. If you're worried about their aggro zone, then you're either attempting to skip too many mobs or are way out of your depth. And again, Rogues are ideal for not pulling mobs unintentionally.

Wrath did improve it. So far in, one of the two, the first zone I actually haven't had to stop questing and grind. I sat down for a few hours, did quest after quest, and when I walked off I realized I gained two levels, and had actually enjoyed my time getting them.

Dude. Get back into it. I've been on and off since the patch for it, then when Wrath actually came out I was like:

"Shebam, Death Knight in Outland and Paladin in Northrend, cool."

hahahaha, what other mmors are you talking about? Pure-grind korean mmos? Then I'd agree.

Face it, WoW is all about grind (not saying it's not the case for other games) especially BC era I guess.

I admit I've read a lot of praise towards DK starting zone and quests, so they may be on to something here.

    Put it this way...

Basically, until World of WarCraft, you levelled up by grinding. In World of WarCraft, you've never simply forced to just grind for hours on end. You can choose to grind levels, or rep, or whatever you want, but you're never forced to.

Meh my game of choice is EvE.
I am getting new skills RIGHT NOW and the game isn't even running.

    No grind required
