I've heard somewhere that a Zealot is made from a Gateway instantly and in order to make another one, there is a cooldown sort of thing. But doesn't this mean that a Zealot rush would be so easy to pull off? And if the Terran got Zealot rushed really fast, the only thing they would have is Marines, which suck against Zealots?

IMO, they should change the way Zealots are made if my theory is correct.

No, Zealots don't get created instantly and the cooldown you're referring to only applies to Warp Gates which you will not encounter that early in the game.

But i think lol, the Theory is incorrect, so they must not change the way of the Zealots.:)

    :) PEACE

If there is a cooldown for warp-ins, then how did they warp in so many units at one time in the gameplay videos? (ie. Bunch of Zealots coming in to kill the Nydus Worms?)

Well a) they had that many warp gates and since you can select multiple buildings in SC2, create zealots in each of them at the same time, or b) they cheated like when they were showing the Mothership :)
beaten by burkid, but my post is a tad more elaborate :D

    O, IC...

Well, then... I guess warping isn't all that good then. This probably means that noobs are going to have to learn to make a LOT of unit-producing buildings... (I'm refering to myself, you guys sort of crushed my hopes, no offense)

well I think making 5 or six warp gates will be more than enough. And how is that we heard in the trailer "These 2 mechanics can be used together to create a large army anywhere on the battlefield"
I don't think they thought of having hundreds of warp gates

I don't think you need hundreds of bloodthirsty Zealots to classify them as a large army :D Have all three first level upgrades plus charge researched and you'll clear the screen in no time. Imagine the other guy's micromanagement, trying to click on Zealots that move faster than his LCD response time :D

Did you guys know that a Zealot can survive a Yamato Gun by one health in SC1?

It's a demo dude, they use cheat codes and scripted events so they can demo the units in an entertaining way.

Yamato gun surely kills a fully upgraded zealot, no matter how much you love zealots...

Warp-Gates have the ability to warp in units almost instantly into battle (5 sec I believe, which is similiar to the Protoss Gameplay Demo shown). Once warped in, Warp-Gates would go into a cooldown mode and during that time, they can't warp in any more units or queue up more units.

So Warp-Gates aren't actually the successor of the Gateways because Warp-Gates have the restrictment of not been able to queue up units. That is why you can switch back and forth between the Gateways and Warp-Gates. If you want to queue up an army of units, use the Gateways. But if you want to place your units in anywhere instantly on the pylon fields, you use the Warp-Gates but you give up having the ability to queue up units.

Just to clarify, in the demo, they DID select multiple Warp Gates to warp in all of those Zealots at once. You can see them on the unit pane right as the commands are being issued. Each warp-in command ordered a different Warp Gate on that list to warp-in a Zealot at that spot.

Ych9: I am pretty sure the verb for placing something in a queue is also queue.
