Heya Been fighting all morning with my new install. Tried all the solutions on the forum to make the game run well on my desktop. Back in the beta it ran smooth in XP 32bit, since then I have updated to Windows 7 64bit, and it has been eluding me all morning. Continous crashes and extremely laggy play. With settings set to low, and framerate fix to 60 gave no help. All drivers were up to date. Finally I decided to try "Windowed mode". Now I can play with highest graphic settings and flawlessly...... Worth a try if you have tried all else like me
Go here and read on posting additional information on your machine. Once we know your hardware setup, we may have some insight into what's going wrong with Win7 for you.
