well, I've been playin SC all the while and i've started playin SC2 after the beta released. But, recently, i just started playin SC and there's something weird about it, I don't seem to get used to the game like I used to.. somehow i couldnt keep up with the micro and macro and my mins were about 1200, i just couldnt keep up with everything as i used to, i don't feel comfortable playin it was like totally different from SC2!! But then it's still a great game though.. Did any of you guys encounter the same problem..?? what do ya guys think?
I've found that SC makes be better at SC2, but not the other way around. My group of friends still plays SC whenever we get together, like we have for years, because of lan.
No, I won't. In fact I think I threw out my SC discs. That said, I could definitely understand players holding on to it for the LAN party functionality, and it is a shame that they nixed this in SC2.
SC>SC2 because of LAN. SC2 has better interface, better graphics, better unit and building management but without the LAN support it fails to be considered by most of the players the clear winner.
I still enjoy playing SC1. I am having a lot of issues with lag with SC2 so until that gets resolved SC2 is not my preferred choice.
I haven't used a LAN in a while so I can't say. I understand it's an important feature, but at the end of the day, it's just a feature. The games on their own haven't changed. I understand why people don't like it but to me it just seems silly. Overall I think SC2 is just better than SC1. Why? Better units, better graphics, a ton of simple fixes like submerging supply depots and easier upgrades for things like tech labs and other important structures. It has just been a ton easier to play and to enjoy overall for me.
It's silly to want to play in the same room with RL friends without being reliant on an internet connection in general, and preferrably one that can handle 4+ people drawing on it for gaming purposes? 'kay.
@KHaYMaN Have you ever played in the same room with your friends? It's a HUGE difference from simple online multiplayer games. The atmosphere is incredible, the fun is exponentially higher (especially when you actually see and hear the reaction of your opponents), the undestanding for dalays in starting a game is greater (you actually see the face of the man/girl who can't start the game because they have to go to the toilet ), the emotions when you beat or get beaten by your friend who sits in front of you is much greater than if you beat him sitting 2-3000 miles away from you. I agree with you that the overall SC2 game is better and easier to use but this crucial missing feature hurts alot of people who contributed to the hype of the original games succes.
