Actually I think they won't. Starcraft doesn't have many things that exist in real life, and I don't think Xel Naga has anything to do with humans.. we were just at the wrong place in the wrong time, and met the Zerg and Protoss. No Xel Naga is involved in creating us :)

I think the pyramids will, but I don't think they are involved in creating us. If Blizzard did say humans were created by aliens, who knows what kind of controversy would spur...

i Think they will if you look in the credits of SC1 it mentions stargate, which for those of you who dont know has A LOT of pyramids. Also IMO they are the iconic symbol of the Xel Naga

i can imagine a few of the buildings(neutral or not) as pyramids, for it is one of the most strongest structure there is around.

I've said this very same thing in a Xel Naga post way back.

Protoss and Xel Naga both have pyramids in their architecture. People have speculated in the past that the real pyramids on Earth were built by aliens. Protoss and Humans are somewhat similar. Both are bipedal sentient beings with complex societies. When you consider the possible diversities of life, that's a lot to have in common. Odd how Humans and Protoss both have unique psionic abilities in some capacity as well.

Terrans have always sort of been out of place in the SC universe. They just get caught between the Protoss and Zerg. Some poor bastards too far away from their homeworld to even know where it is; just happen to land in a part of space full of alien life. Violent Alien life. As a whole, Terran society is little more than a food source for the Zerg. Which is of course something the Conclave wanted to put an end to.

I think it would be kind of cool if Humans were created by the Xel Naga who left to work on the more promising Protoss. Latter on somehow for some purpose guiding their bastard children back to them. The UED may hold Terran-Xel Naga connections as well. We don't really know that much about Earth in the SC universe. Maybe the Xel Naga went there to hide after the Zerg experiment went so wrong. I could go on with speculation.

Duran is an obvious wild card.

I don't think the whole pyramid thing will be showcased in SC2. As in, no major cut scenes in Giza or even a specific mention. Yet, Blizzard is a company that really treats its work like art. Every design goes through great scrutiny. Much like how everything on a movie set is placed for a shooting with a lot of thought behind it. The pyramid symbolism seems like something more than just pretty buildings.

How'd you get neg rep so fast? Damn.

I don't mean that pyramids will have a major plot point in the story but serve as a hint.

I sure as hell don't believe alien life had anything to do with the pyramids in real life, but don't mind the idea in a sci-fi story.

I highly doubt it that the actualy pyramid is going to be included in SC2. Unless Blizzard takes the war to Earth :p.
Maybe they will include a pyramid like structure, but depict it as something else, like the xel'naga temple.

@freedom23- I was suggesting that the Xel' Naga are. Why not, they created more impressive things than that. Plus it's only a video game, who knows where Blizz is taking the story?

If so then Im glad i was way more better looking than the protoss and zergs lol... The pyramids as of this day are definitley one of the wonders that will probably never be figured out.. But why do we have to discredit the engineers of the past?? Im sure that somewhere in egypt they figured that out as mathematics was its birthplace... anyway Xel'naga proposes a great threat to every aspect of terran living if thus proven that they are our creators... our religion especially will be the one at most confused,..

oh and BTW are there actual proof of any alien forms/existence in earth? is there such a place as area 51?

area 51 exists, but it isnt sure wether there are aliens or not

but in science fiction anything can be done(well maybe my shadow-angel idea goes a little too far, but this thread isnt about that), and look at star wars for an example, the force contradicts almost every religion, and there were not many angry religious people, in stargate the creation of humanity was an accident, and still; amybe one person in every 500.000 got angry over it. the point is: science fiction is not real, and people understand that. and discredit the engineers of the pyramids? we compare them to almighty aliens, i would take that as a compliment

Actually archaeologists don't believe slaves were used to build the pyramids. They found some housing near the sites that were clearly used by families of workers. There was more evidence to it; I can't remember everything I see on the history channel.

yeah thats too bad they didnt have the facts to prove so.... those archeologists are just speculating the unusual to prove wrong what has been history.... "housing??" maybe you can elaborate more on that... im always watching Nat. Geo. and I havent really seen any documentations about the Pyramids contruction conspiracy coz they all say that it was definitely the sweat and blood of thounsands of slaves.. maybe you can also state with that why there was a missing line in the leadership of pharoahs during the 10plagues era..

anyway back on the topic I am certainly expecting a twist in the story line that has something to do with earth and Xel'naga, whether its the pyramid or not it doesnt matter, I just want a good campaign to play! ^_^
