That would be a good change for the upcoming expansion pack. Acturas would end up either assassinated or sent to prison, and his son would take the throne. Valerian would work from within the system to make the Dominion more just and honorable, and for the first time all Terrans would end up under one government (and a relatively good one). Lots of governments start off bad and get better over time.

Probably. What I remember from his behavior in the books, the son is a lot more friendly, though he can be slightly overobsessed. As long as there is no discovery of a dozen alien ruin planets at the same time, he'd probably be a positive influence.

The dominion will still suck being the imperialist pigs they are.
As for revolutions, a handful of cowboys in a battlecruiser forcing a change of goverment is a coup d'etat and not a revolution in my books :p
Putting the coup d'etat into overdrive doesn't sound that cool though :p

I don't know. Lots of countries start off as imperialistic, but become more benevolent over time. Humanity should be fully united in the next game.

Your signature was interesting: The Science of Starcraft. The way I look at it, both Zerg and Protoss both use psi. Psi abilities are minimal in humans, but may be greater in other species. Theoretically anyway. The green color in the zerg acid may be a non-acidic component. Some fungi are green, so the green in the acid may be bio-engineered fungal spores that eat away at the target, since the acid alone may not harm many surfaces. The Zerg are supposed to be masters of bio-technology, so many of their attacks are probably due to microorganisms that quickly grow into their target and degrade it. As for the protoss, consider the fact that psi isn't exactly like magic.

Any advancement helps improve the quality of life in any age... Living better than 1-2 generations ago is something that's out of the question... The question is if we live proportionally better to what has been achieved in the time tha passed...

An interresting interview by Noam Chomsky on that matter:

As for the science part, I haven't really thought about psi or banelings, I just love the site and find it interresting-another forum member owns it-, I just like the reads a lot :p

Humanity already is fully united in the UED.

Terranity on the other hand, has existed for a measly 200 years (although the timescale is absurd, concidering terran population numbers and technological advancement) and even counting the imperium, it does not have a single government (there are two other big terran factions and a dozen independant worlds).
