Will SC2 be Ready for Release in 2009?

Just wondering if you guys think SC2 Will be actually ready for release in 2009 since they havn't even released the beta and were almost into May now. Not to mention only a second battle report just got released. like i would have expected like 3-4 battle reports by now.

I'm just kinda starting to think it will be released early 2010 or like maybe december 30th 2009.

What are your thoughts?

 

I wouldn't rage if it was released in 2010, that much I can tell ya.

 

I always said this game will be released for october or november 2009. Today Blizzard is on the pre-alpha stage, that means they are still not on the alpha stage. And once done after moooonths they will reach the beta, and then after some weeeks they will release the demo.

I even think they will release the official demo at the end of this year. But I am sure to get the official game by March 2010. And if Blizzard makes efforts we'll get it for Christmas 2009.

 

Blizzard seems pretty certain that it'll be released in 2009. So, I'm going to assume that it will be. But, the worst case scenario is that it is released sometime in Q1 2010 which is really no big deal if you're already willing to wait for December 2009.

But beta has already begun, have you actually looked around besides here they even had a contest for a beta key i say june 2nd to december any where between there is going to be your release the date we are told the release date will be in the next month along with the rating and system requirments(these are not credible so do not hold me to it lets just say i have friends in beta testing)

 

Jacob, beta hasn't started, if it had we would know about it. I agree with the majority that the game will be released 3-5 months after beta starts, which makes the real question when will the beta start?

i honestly was taking you all for a joke but your not, alpha is still in the works and beta looks to me like it will be a closed beta, their is a serect beta that i caught up on but its not even a finished beta

What the hell are you talking about? Going by the definition that 99.99% use of beta, then StarCraft 2 is not in beta.

 

its internal beta theres already been enough vids if you would like to look them up also an earlier post about this same stuff maybe because its not out there for anyone on the forum doesnt mean its not there blizzard is always hush hush about this stuff and they wont let outside public see. But there are videos of beta you just have to look for yourself

We'll there certainly is mixed feelings some say late 2009 to early 2010, other saying beta will out soon along with a release date. I'm not gona fret if it comes out in 2010 or 2011 but it just isn't nice to say 2009 if blizzard possibly knows theres even a chance it will come out in 2010. Its like a huge tease IMO. lol with all these battle reports and screen shots and contests. it just be nice to find out some legit information as to beta dates so we at least have a general idea of when it will come out and were not here second guessing their release dates or anything like that.

Wouldn't be a Blizzard game without having alot of unknowns.

 

It is very likely that the beta will begin within the next 45 days.

 

according to my sources beta will start late May to early June and the game will be ready at blizzcon 2009..
