What would you recomend for a new vid card?

Ok so looking at this again and compairing it to the Beta version of S2.

    I will need....
    a New video card
More gigs of memory (I have warhmmer and CoH on here and I can uninstall those)

Im not quite sure if my memory is good enough (how do you get more RAM XD?)
And can someone tell me if my processor is good enough?

As always any help is greatly appreciated.

U don't really need to worry about Hard drive space (unless you have a small *** HarDrive)
and as for RAM. If you want more u need to buy more RAM sticks and install them on ur motherboard.

You've got 4GB of RAM. Unless you're doing special work such as Photoshop, etc, 4GB is plenty for everyday use. Of course more is better but until RAM prices drop some more, I wouldn't really worry about it.

Yes, your processor is good enough. Even if it wasn't, it's a good candidate for overclocking due to the high multiplier.

    System requirements..

Hello, I don't know if this is the right section to post this thread but anyways, I am not really good with computers so if anyone would want to tell me if my computer is good enough to play SCII without any lag ...

    Operating System: Windows 7
    Processor: AMD Athlon (tm) 64 x2 Dual core processor 3800 + (2 CPUS), ~2.0Ghz
    Memory: 1024 MB RAM
    DirectX version: 11
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT 1GB GDDR3 PCI Express Graphics Card (I played the beta when I had NVIDIA 8800 GTS but it kept freezing every 2-5 seconds...)

    Thanks!

You should be able to run it. But it wasn't necessery to open a new topic, you could have just checked the sticky READ FIRST: "can i run SC2?". No need to know much about computers.

There is only one problem i see. You're using Windows 7 with only 1 GB (1024 MB) system memory? You should definatly check that and consider upgrading to a minimum of 2 GB....

Oh, is there a specific ram card for my computer or can I just pick any ram from the store and put it in?

Better check your motherboard specifications to get the answer to that. You could also run the Crucial System Scanner and have them recommend compatible memory.

I recently visited my parents and played a little bit SC2 on my dad's old computer:

    - 2.2 GHz CPU (only 1 core)
    - 1024 MB Ram (1 Gigabyte)
    - gForce 7600 GS graphics card

On lowest graphics quality settings, the game ran smoothly and without lags. It did not look really good though, of course. ;)

Any Intel "Core" CPU will be enough, and any AMD Athlon X2 or Phenom.
1 GB RAM seems to be sufficient, at least for 1vs1 matches on maps not bigger than Kulas ravine. (?)
I would NOT suggest using a graphics card that is slower than a Geforce 7600 though! Any Geforce 8000+ model (or above) and any AMD Radeon HD 3850 (or above) will do great.

However, on my main computer - 3.0 GHz Quad-Core, 4 GB RAM, Radeon HD 4850 - I still only use the "Medium" quality settings.
