jsut read blizzcast 7(i am doing them backwards) and i noted this:

Jeffrey Kaplan: But that really is a recent view of things. A lot of people don’t realize that Arthas was mainly developed in Warcraft III which was the game right before WoW and there were many Warcrafts before that and expansions to those RTS games where we introduced new villains and we killed them and introduced new heroes and killed them off. So I feel like Arthas is awesome, he’s one of our greatest bad guys but, you know, we can come up with a lot of great bad guys for you to fight. There’s already a lot of villains out there in the WoW lore or the Warcraft lore that people haven’t even encountered or want to know, you know, what’s going on with that. If you look at Onyxia and Nefarian, they’re just the son and daughter of a really bad guy, that nobody’s encountered yet.

or will it be one of these

    J. Allen Brack: I think we also just have a lot of stories that we still want to tell, you know, we just finished the Burning Crusade expansion, but we haven’t met the boss of the Burning Legion yet. Sargeras is still out there. What’s going on with him? What is he doing? I’m certain that he’s not done. So yeah, there’s a lot of guys out there.

Jeffrey Kaplan: Plus we’re notorious for killing everybody off....

Jeffrey Kaplan and Nethaera: ....and then they come back.

    J. Allen Brack: Yeah. We’re big fans of that.

Deathwing been hiding deep in Grim Batrol, confirmed in Night of the Dragon (Don't ask how he got there) planning his new plan for "his" new age of dragons, the Twilight dragonflight from the surviving eggs his former mate collected for her own plans. You see three of them in a black drag raid and they do mention "Father was right about you..."

Though I subject that you don't but it, its the second badly written WC book I read (Cycle of Hated the first one) not it would make a bad story, its just written badly and theres Rhonin leading a army of raptors and Scaly darkiron dwaves?!

Next WarCraft expansion needs new areas though.
Maybe the temple of the Eye of Saegeras near the Maelstrom?
And naval mounts would be nice.

There isn't that many locations left in the WarCraft universe.

    Outland
    They could visit Draeni stuff.

    Maelstrom

    Abyss
    Where Saegreas is I think...

if you are short on content there are always a dozen isles and/or underground places, and extra floating pieces of rubble in outland

Erm, I am pretty sure that that temple is impossible to enter. It was pretty much destroyed in warcraft 3: tft. And the city of the Naga is under the Mealstrom. Quistion: I thought that Sargerras was gone? If he was still around, why not replace Archimonde with a new guy? Plenty of Eredar left. :s

One thing I forgot in my last post: why not go to the Undermine continent? Then we can finally see some more of the Goblins. It would be awesome to have the Tinker as the next hero class. I might even start playing the game -again- then.

I think Blizzard should stop at Wrath of the Lich King.

They should be working on WoW 2 right now.

Same stuff, maybe WAY more content in actual Azeroth, more in Outland and more in Northrend.

There needs to be new gameplay changes, heavy graphic changes, and all sorts of customization needs to be thrown in. Most specifically the character creator.

Old players shouldn't just have their characters copied and pasted over, but they should receive benefits for being a WoW "veteran".

    They could simply rescale everything.

But then I think mounts should arrive a bit earlier, and instead... scale up maybe?

The horses provided to the humans suddenly getting glowing eyes is... odd.

There needs to be 1 - 3 new playable races in WoW 2 for either faction. I'd say Ogres for Horde is a must.

There needs to be a Hero class for each race. Blizzard easily can just go back in time and pick them out. Forsaken Death Knights... Tauren Chieftains... Troll Shadow Hunters... hell, they could remake Warcraft 3 classes and call them racial Hero classes. Just give us some fresh stuff.

Simply rescaling everything would be pointless and people would be pissed if it actually took time to get anywhere. Make it bigger and fill it with more stuff, like an odd little village here and there or something. Some places, like crossroads could use a buff too.

New races? Up to THREE new races? C'mon they're long out of ideas here already, remember that one time they added space cows to the game?

New Hero classess sound good, but it would take tons of effort to make up and then somewhat balance them, we're talking about ~7 new classess here?

How about having a whole new faction besides alliance and horde? Would be col to have a "free" character. This could include the Goblins -start in Undermine- the Ogres and maybe even Eredar or other creeps. This will probably never happen, but how cool would it be? You could be a mercenary in, for example, raids and battlegrounds. That would solve any faction problems.

Only if it was a neutral faction, where you gradually chose your side.

Or you were as pacifist/mercenary/vendor as possible, being able to work for one side for a little bit, then completely flip over.

Draenei were actually a really nice addition looking back now. Just my opinion but... hey. I think it's because we didn't have an awesomely tall race to counter Tauren. Even if they still aren't as badass as those minotaurs.

It does take time to get to places. World of Warcraft. I think Northrend is effing HUGE. I only have my 60% flying mount, and got Cold Weather training recently. It takes so long for me to get to places, I actually set myself on a course, number lock it, and alt tab. I don't see why they wouldn't make things bigger.

Plus this would be able to allow Blizzard to actually make towns look like towns. Goldshire's supposed to have a population in the thousands.

...The town consists of an inn and blacksmith.

I'd like some more voice acting, and then I think the faction leaders should get their own unique models like Blizzard slowly seems to be doing now. And they have a horrible track record of races importance.

Remember that time Cairne Bloodhoof went to Northrend to meet the Taunka?

Remember that time Tyrande actually did something?

Remember that time Magni Bronzebeard went to Northrend where Brann
    and Muradin
    are currently situated?

Remember that time that crusty Gnome was important to lore?

    I don't.

And is it too much to ask for more... casual quests? I shat bricks when I first did the Tauren stuff.

I got a pitcher of water for the tribe chieftain's mother.

...Why can't I simply take a human child out for a walk, guarding him/her from say... a random Gnoll?

I want little simple things like that. No real effect on anything but making me feel like I always don't have to be this huge hero that has to glue together the vase of peace when some big ol' baddie knocks it off the pedestal.

And for racial Hero classes, balancing would take forever, I know.

    But hey...

Forsaken Death Knights, Tauren Chieftains or Tauren Spiritwalkers, Orc Blademasters, Blood Elf Spellbreakers or Blood Elf Blood Mages, and Troll Shadow Hunters or Troll Witch Doctors.

Human Archmages, Dwarf Mountain Kings, Night Elf Demon Hunters or Night Elf Wardens, Draenei... somethings, and Gnome Steamwarriors.

There you go. I gave 9/10 hero classes using pretty much pre-existing stuff, or the ripe for the picking Warcraft 3 units.

Forsaken Death Knights - Exactly what are all too common now.
Tauren Chieftains - Very very heavy emphasis on two handed combat. Interchangable back totems for different effects.
Tauren Spiritwalkers - Shift between Ethereal and Normal forms to provide different buffs and have access to different spells. Maybe are involved with dealing damage very indirectly.
Orc Blademasters - Agile, powerful, but a bit on the frail side.
Blood Elf Spellbreakers - Disrupting enemy buffs and spells mainly as offense, while using lots of defense via their shields, making quick agile attacks with one handed weapons.
Blood Elf Blood Mages - Blizzard could get a bit creative here... more primal and wild arcane magic powers I think. Very little or no abilities to help others, mostly for themselves.
Troll Shadow Hunters - Throwing weapon class that has many odd and quirky spells that are there for simply annoyance and minor damage dealing.
Troll Witch Doctors - 80% of spells aren't even done by the Doctor, he just throws down various totems, wards, and such that will do most of the work for him.

Human Archmages - As fragile as current Mages, but have a wider spell vocabulary, and may cast from the backs of their mounts. Spells are interrupted upon movement still, but the Archmage has no real reason to dismount. In instances, they'd be excluded from dismounting if it was indoors.
Dwarf Mountain Kings - Brutal dual wielders, seemingly unstoppable with heavy armor, but fall prey to simple ranged attacks and spells. Some of their own spells will enable them to get a chance to destroy ranged attackers.
Night Elf Demon Hunters - Think Rogues a little more fragile, but making up for it with spells and savage melee combat.
Night Elf Wardens - Melee combatants with lots of cunning moves like a Rogue, but have many disabling abilities.
Draenei... I have no idea what they could have as a hero class.
Gnome Steamwarriors - Simply Gnomes rampaging in robotic exoskeletons, each one equipped differently. When you put on gear, it's more for your armor than you yourself. If people actually want to kill you, they have to get through your blade or hammer swinging suit first.

    Possible new Alliance races:
This would be up to Blizzard. I have no idea of any lore sneaks that could pull more into the Alliance.

    Possible new Horde races:
Ogres - Trolls came back after the Second war...
Centaur - You think with that many tribes on Kalimdor, there isn't one tribe smart enough to see that the Horde is vastly outnumbering the savage Centaurs? One tribe can't simply go, 'Hey. Forget this slaughter stuff. Who are those damn Night Elves up north?'

    Possible Neutral races:
Ogres - If they can't get into the Horde, they sure like to chill with Goblins.
Goblins - They need an explanation?
Ethereal - They come from another world to Outland. Who says some can't meander their way to Azeroth?
Panderans - They'd hate to choose sides. Being a mercenary? Doesn't sound too far fetched.

Pfff... If you are going hardcore WoW like that, you should probably post it on a WoW forum. Here you will get like, absolutely no Blizzard attention. Just a tip. These are good ideas. It would be a shame if Blizzard misses them. Even if the never use them. :(
