Will Aiur Be Retaken?

Does anyone think the protoss even with their few numbers attempt a siege to regain their fallen homeworld?

 

Not only do I think they will; I hope they will. I would love for the reclaiming of aiur to be some epic campaign mission battle with an epic cutscene afterward. That would be pure awesomeness!

Yes. yes ,i did.

 

The protoss better at least attempt to retake Aiur, or i guess we will know they're all talk.

 

Not much left of Aiur.

Most of it is covered with ash, creep and corpses.

 

But, they have a connection to Aiur. If Earth was taken from us, we would seek to reclaim it even if the jungles, forest, beaches, and other biomes were destroyed. Hell, we do that today even with something as simple as a house, neighborhood, city, state or country.

 

All it needs is a little Fabreeze and some Bounty.

 

If the Protoss were to retake or at least try to retake Aiur from the Zerg my love for them will come back, and I'll no longer love the Zerg. For my love for the three races is always fluctuating.

 

I think the Protoss will reclaim Aiur after Kerrigan dies (yes!). and then the Dark Templar being able to return and actually live there in peace again.

 

If Kerrigan died then much of what was interesting about the sttory of StarCraft would be ruined.

 

It makes sense that Kerrigan would die though. Shes the kind of dynamic villain that would only be stopped by her own death. One of the worst things that a franchise can do is have a character outlive their role simply because the franchise would collapse with their loss. If Kerrigan's time comes, it would be best to end Starcraft and move on rather than have the series limp on as some sort of Saturday morning cartoon with all the characters held in stasis for the pupose of continuing the plot.

It makes sense that Aiur would be retaken for the same purpose. The Protoss, both the high and dark templar, are devoted enough to their home planet that they would only be stopped in their quest to reclaim it with their own extinction.

 

I'd easily prefer "stasis" over "no more StarCraft".

 

Hence Warcraft III.

I heard they were making Warcraft 4, which destroys the whole idea of World of Warcraft...........

Anyways, Blizzard only has two reasons to return to Aiur. Either for the Protoss to retrieve certain artifacts or mystical things (which Aiur is known for) or to bring back Tassadar in a weird way or another.

 

Blizzard said that they are considering making Warcraft 4, but that is it.

Tassadar is most likely definitely dead, I very much doubt that they will bring him back to life in the sequel, if they didnt did so in the expansion of the game.

 

No, it's pretty certain they're in the process of making WarCraft IV right now because of job hirings and other hints. I don't think StarCraft 2 is getting a new and improved "RTS engine" so what do you think is most likely?

But, honestly, the idea of WarCraft IV destryong the idea of World Of WarCraft is .... uncomment-worthy

Seriously, though, the Protoss have a dedication and love for Aiur. OF COURSE, they're going to want to reclaim it.
