Anyone else kinda bummed by the lack of solid information that came from Blizzcon and Leipzig? I've been scouring the net trying to find a good site that has a completed Terran and Protoss unit database but I'm starting to think that no one has finished one yet. There was a good spread sheet linked on this forum but it was far from complete. Heres the link: http://www.starcraft2forum.org/forums/index.php?topic=1681.0

I understand everyones eagerness to play the game after they had been waiting in line, but I kinda figured someone somewhere would bother to jot down all the unit stats, costs and pretty much anything else that appears on a tooltip. Theres just tons and tons of posts out there about people hypothesizing about strats and counters and all that sort of thing, but they're just guesses without hard numbers to back them up.

If anyone has a more complete database then the one linked above, please by all means post it up. In fact, if you had any unit information at all thats not covered by this spreadsheet, please also post it up. I think a lot of people that read here a lot, but don't necessarily post would be grateful.

    Thanks much.

I respectfully disagree with you on this Markus. In my opinion, the fact that all things are subject to change, shouldn't hold us back from trying to find out all we can about the current build. Think about how many posts on this forum alone involve the information that we currently know. People are already creating strategies, and counters, and posting to the SC2 devs themselves about how they feel the different race's units are now. Knowing more can only help us at this point regardless of whether that information will change in the future.

the main reason why people didnt write down all the stats is because each game had a 20min limit followed by a 2-3 hour wait in line for another go, for the people at these events playing the game was much more important.

Here's the site for the most solid stats you can get: this site might be familiar. Anything else, even from developers, is very, very, up in the air. Even this stuff, announced and featured by Blizzard, is subject to change, although I think they only put stuff there if it has a very good chance of making it into the game.

No doubt. Throughout history, the amount of data that was unable to be gathered as a result of the participants unwillingness to gather that information is for lack of a better word, overwhelming. Still, I think its important to try to "put the word out there." If anyone has information, please please share it! And more importantly, if you find yourself in the unique position where you are able to gather more data, please record it. The entire Starcraft community as a whole would be grateful.

EDIT: I dont want to spam so I'll respond to Neon's post here. I don't mean to go up against the popular majority here, but I don't think you can really get anything of use these days out of the Blizzard sponsored websites. Theres no stats whatsoever on the Starcraft2 site and thats because, as Markus reiterated, all things are subject to change. So lets refocus this discussion on the amount of information thats been released already, that no body has been able to record yet.

Haha, Snubble, you don't have to tell us twice. Why do you think we're not using the battle.net forums? I think we've done pretty well for ourselves in picking this site over theirs.

But I think we just need to be patient. Until the release of the beta things are going to be awfully liquid at Blizzard. They probably didn't really care about balance at Blizzcon, they just wanted some people to be able to get some feel for the user interface and how cool the graphics are, etc.

20 minute limit? Can't do much in that time. Heck, it's hard to tech to tier 3.

Personally stuff like unit cost, power, etc. don't really matter to me. Knowing those stats for every build are even less important to me. I trust them to take care of stuff like that and keep it balanced.

And like Joneagle said until it gets to beta form nothing is solid yet. I'm hungry for SC2 info too but we just need to wait.

I think it about time blizzard creates SC2 official forums, not battle.net forums.

They have but almost as soon as it was created about 5 spam threads popped up and the few threads that managed to stay on topic (suggestions about improvment on sc2) were mainly some wc3 players atempting to add hero leveling into sc (if you don't believe me just read the threads).

Edit(to keep this on topic): I agree with all above posts concerning the lack of info.
