Everyone knows there are official battle reports released already n it looks like the game's already ok to be played.Although it's said that the sin. player campaign is only 1/3 done, why doesn't blizzard a multiplayer version first? :(

    They do. It's called beta.
And the game is nowhere near done. Just look at the graphic glitches, incomplete animations etc. And the balance still has to be done. Only when balancing is complete, they can start to properly make the missions. -now they are mostly concepts afaik-

Yep. They just put on the Hunter Seeker Missile a while ago before they put on the Battle Report, the ability obviously need some tweaking to make it more balanced and same with some other units.

Although the Protoss race looks it's nearing completion pretty fast. Al we hear about them are tweaks. Apart from the many Mothership changes, they have had almost no new additions lately. And then to think their campaign comes last... -but that fits the story better-

Well....I think at least they should release a demo ,like all other games. It'd be nice if they can release part of the '1/3 completed campaign' 4 us to try. :)

They could do that, the gameplay in campaign meant to be different and better animations

If they couldn't release that at least release a system requirement list><...It'll be a very terrible thing to know that my CPU is not capiable to play SCII after its release .At least I can hav time to upgrade the systems if they release that LOL....

A demo of one third of the game? Blizzard would be nuts to give that away for free. A multiplayer variant with 1 or 2 maps, like most rts demos, would be a better alternative.

And where did the quick reply of this thread go to?

I'm pretty sure blizz said the SP campaign was 1/3 done around june last year... Correct me if i'm wrong, a source would be awesome. Meaning they would be at 60-70% by now..though these things are hard to predict.

There wouldn't be alot of extra "stuff" to put into the singleplayer campaign at this stage since CGI cinematics generally go in first and as we've seen from the battle reports the core of the game just needs their graphic designers to do a quick touch up.

I agree with that....maybe I should rephase what i meant by "part of the '1/3 completed campaign'",it's just like what you've mentioned...not all of it, just a sneak peek of it.

Or even a demo that can only play as one race(Terran in the original SC demo) and vs the CPU would be nice:( (I hope Blizzard can see this XD)

Oh, they probably look over the fansites from time to time. But these things aren't even really up to regular Blizzard employees afaik. Publishers and Activision-Blizzard executives decide these things. Demos are just another marketing tool, you know. Not something they make just because they want to be nice. :p

Man. We've been waiting 10 years and people are already getting so itchy waiting for another 1 - 2?

  14. The campaign was 1/3 done many, many months ago. I think you got confused in a Q&A. As far as releasing the multiplayer first, it wouldn't get it out to you any quicker. There are still a lot of changes that need to be done before beta and a tooooon of changes during beta. The campaign will be worked on through out all of this. So, again, you wouldn't get it any quicker just like you wouldn't get StarCraft II any quicker if Blizzard wasn't working on World Of WarCraft or Diablo 3.

Also, rest assured, you'll have system requirements before the release of the game. Even if Blizzard for some reason want to keep the system requirements a secret (which they won't) you'll still be able to see about how well your computer will run the game through asking people in the beta around the forums.

And they confirmed that even older computers can run the game, so I wouldn't really be that worried about it. Unless you want everything on max settings, but that should be obvious anyway...

  16. Yeah, they said a 4-year old PC would be supported (GeForce FX 5200, Athlon XP) and that was back in early 2007. So, by today's standards, that would be a 6-year old computer and with the way graphics card and graphics development is today that's damn phenomenal.

Hehehe, places to go, people to see eh. With Blizzard you shouldn't have to worry about computer specs too much because they have always been good with scaling and getting their games to work on a variety of different systems.

They probably havn't released the multiplayer yet, because well they are still working on balancing and tweaking it. Also they already are releasing Starcraft 2 into 3 seperate stand alone games and I would like to get the most out of my purchase, in having a completed and polished game with both a single player campaign AND great multiplayer options.
