Who is your favorite Hero from the original StarCraft?

Who is your favorite Hero from the original StarCraft?

Mine is personally Jim Raynor. I think his entire attitiude, his unselfish acts, and the way he went from being nothing to swept up into the entire battle make him very likeable. Plus, he's a total badass. I mean, when you hear Raynor talk to Kerrigan after she betrays Fenix, that has to be my favorite part in the game. He just oozes charisma, and has the skill to back it up.

Zeratul is also a very likeable hero. The quiet way he carries himself, it's fun to watch and play with. Not to mention his 100 damage warp blades. O.O

So, what's your opinion?

 

Arcturus Mengsk. He is everything I want to be, that is a rebel, fleet commander, emperor. He is a great speaker, tactician, and rules with an iron fist. And also he has THE MOST STYLISH outfit.

 

Duke, it's hilarious how he thinks he's all high and mighty.

 

Zeratul is my favorite for sure. Like you said he just carriers himself with pride and also becuase he is wise and tricks people Also a very close second would be fenix. Fenix was always just a cool guy and a very powerful unit, I always liked him but zeratul has him beat by a little bit becuase hes a dark templar

Raynor is defintely my favorite terran hero and hes third of fourth on my overall list of heros.

zeratul is my favorite, his willingness to protect the homeworld even after being shunned from it. he strikes from the shadows, his seriousness, the way he puts aldaris in his place is all just so kick ass

I ran a search and nothing came up, so i figured it was fair game. Sorry if there is one, and I missed it. the thought did cross my mind however that it would be very odd for there not to have been a topic like this. :/

Tassadar. His all-around badass demeanor makes it hard not to like him. Also, psionically speaking he was arguably the most powerful character in the starcraft universe.

Also i compared how the heros stack up against each other in the actual game.

Kerrigan vs Zeratul - Zeratul wins hands down even when Kerrigan uses ensnare & psi storm. Unless you want to be gay about it and have her cloak as well and wait for zeratul to come by so she can ensnare him.

Kerrigan vs Tassadar - Kerrigan wins. I doubt she could really beat him though. =\

Fenix Zealot vs Kerrigan - This one is interesting. They are tied. With no upgrades Kerrigan barely pulls of a victory by the skin of her ass, but when they are fully upgraded fenix actually wins.

Fenix Zealot vs Fenix Dragoon - Fenix zealot actually pwns the dragoon version. I don't know which one is more usefull on the battlefield, since the dragoon can hit air but the zealot is way faster, does more damage and doesn't take a long-ass time to switch targets.

Tassadar vs Fenix - Fenix wins.

Kerrigan vs an Ultralisk - Kerrigan.

Kerrigan vs a Reaver - Kerrigan, barely.

Zeratul vs Torrasque - Torrasque wins

Torrasque vs Tassadar/Zeratul Archon - The archon wins.


All in all, Zeratul pwns everyone else in a fair fight(besides torrasque & zeratul/tass archon), and Tassadar & Jim Raynor Marine/Vulture are the worst.

Gradius im pretty sure Tassadar beats every unit in the map editor because you have to remember he commands the Gantrithor which i think is the most powerful unit in the editor. Besides maybe a hero BC or a perma cloaked unit i cant really think of any other unit that would stand a chance. (mind you i havnt tested this knowledge)

 

Tassadar by himself though would get killed pretty easily. I think that was more what he meant.

 

Actually the gantrithor is pretty weak by itself as well. It loses out to other hero battlecruisers and even artanis in his scout can destroy the gantrithor.

Gantrithor is far from the most powerful unit in the editor. The Tassadar/Zeratul Archon is the most powerful, it can even destroy all the hero battlecruisers. After that its the torrasque, then zeratul.

 

Do you have Torrasque's stats offhand? I'm interested in seeing them, as I had thought for the longest time Zeratul was nigh unbeatable.
