who is duran working for

we know that duran served a higher power and most people think that it is the xel'naga, but we're not sure, please specify your ideas here

 

I think he is a membr of a group of people who want to finish the workl of the Xel Naga regardless of any consequences.

 

He works for himself.

 

He is a special agent of the Xel' Naga. But as he is so evil, the Xel' Naga are evil too.

I am sure I am wrong because the Xel' Naga I know according to the Starcraft book are peaceful people.

So, he is the servant of the evil hybrids.

 

we could wait till he gets his next paycheck .

Just simply xel'naga, because as we know there are only 4 races in the SC universe (counted hybrids as xel'naga)

My post was out of topic, informing people that we have this topic, and we've exhausted every possible theory, and come to the conclusion we'll just have to wait.

 

Zerg + Protoss = Hybrid

But their essence together make Xel' Naga. So maybe the hybrids = Xel' Naga. So Duran is working for the Xel' Naga.

 

I'd say he's more of a mercenary than anyone. He kinda reminds me of the G-Man from HL.

Is xel naga evil?

 

Duran is obviously working for himself as he himself is free willed. Albeit that he seems to be under the influence of many different cosmic powers within the realm of SC. In all fact of the matter Duran is as has been said in a position of an advisor and thus has helped all of the factions, but as is also said he brought all the factions to a place they all thought was not possible and all the factions are weakened to an extent. (The Zerg are weakened by their fear of Duran and the Protoss at the separation they have not being one race but the Templar and Dark Templar that form the process.) That being said

Also. 1. The Xel Naga are not evil and evil at the same time as good & evil are relative to the perspective.

there are evil xel naga. When they created the zerg and the protoss there were 2 sides. sides that didn't want to create them and sides that did want to create them. obvisously the evil side created the protoss and then failed. Then they created the zerg in hopes that the zerg would destroy the protoss.

 

As someone who has done a fair deal of research on the Xel'Naga I have no idea how you came up with the idea that their are two Xel'Naga factions as there is no proof or logic based to that. The Xel'Naga are stated as one whole race and one whole faction and not as two. Also, the whole point of saying that they are both evil and not evil is that evil is relative meaning it differs from person to persona and place to place and thus nothing can be truely labeled good or evil as both sides partake in a balance.

 

but there is no logical proof that there were never xel naga that were against the creation of the protoss and the zerg. I came up with the idea from duran..... Every race he has helped or allied himself with always would destroy an opposing race. then he would help a different race and then it would go in a cycle. All for 1 thing. To create his hybrid army. alll the events he helped cause benefited the destruction and annilation of terran,protoss, and zerg. So i am implying the he is helping the xel naga. There the only group of people who would want the destruction of all the races..... so yes the xel naga are evil.

 

The Xel'Naga were only a race that sought to create the most powerful beings in the universe. They didn't want to destroy all the races. Even if we assume that Duran is working for them, that's no proof that they're evil. He could be a misguided follower. And all the races have been trying to kill each other from the start anyways, no proof that it was Duran that caused them to start fighting.

 

i never said that he started the war. he just started participating when he wanted. The war probaly started because of the zerg.
All they want to do is kill. plus protoss were destroying planets with zerg on them. so terran had a few planets with zerg on them. and terran got pissed that protoss were killing terran along with zerg. so meh. i blame the xel naga for the war. and maybe now there trying to end it by combining 2 races to kill all 3....

 

The Xel'Naga only created the Zerg, they didn't make them want to destroy every other form of life in the world. It was just in their instinct, so you can't really blame them for it.

 

but u can blame them. they knew that the zerg would be hostile. cause they created them so it is there fault. without the zerg. the protoss wouldn't really have a reason to destroy the planets so meh....
