Which units do you think will appear from original Starcraft-Brood War?

You Can choose 5 units, I don't think blizzard leaves more then 5 in Starcraft 2.

 

well the zergling, hydralisk and mutaliks are definitely coming back, they are irreplaceable

I just voted for them! Haha. Well, we already know that Zerglings and Mutalisks are back. Hydralisks are the core Zerg units, so they will definitely back. And Overlords and Drones will surely be back - Protoss kept Probes and Pylons and Terrans kept Supply Depots and SCVs. And that's my five choices right there. I do think that another Zerg unit or two will return as well - most likely including the Scourge.

 

Both the Protoss and the Terrans have a total of 7 units making a return from BW as of now including the workers. So I would assume the Zergs to have the same number of units returning.

7. Carriers

Terrans:

2. Marine

Based on the fact that terran and protoss both have 7 returning (as Ych9 said) and that one of those is from Brood War

 

You may be right, I hope we will know more of zerg units soon.

 

I don't think the defiler will be back and I am betting the queen will have different abilities.

 

hmm... i dont think that the zergling will be back, seeing as how its in every screenshot with the zerg. same with the mutalisk. that would just make too much sense

 

I have a funny feeling that the Infested Terran is gonna come back.

i have a feeling infested terrans wont come back, seeing as how they did the exact same thing as banelings do now. and banelings are easier to get.

 

hydralisk might get replaced because come on guys its sc2 dont u think it evolved as well just as the protoss have been forced to adapt or probably a special ability that it suits it.

 

I agree with you their on the aspect of Banelings, but, I think they will come back with a different attack than suicidal explosions. Should have cleared that up. I got the idea when they presented some Infested T. Artwork at Blizzcon. Wish I could find that link... I Seriously doubt they would replace the Hydralisk. Its the spearhead figure of the Zerg. The only thing I can see replacing it is something even scarier for the Zerg. 8)

Not a chance. First of all, they're the Zerg main unit. Terran kept their Marines and Protoss kept their Zealots - Zerg won't be any different. Besides, they're one of the most loved units in the whole Starcraft 1 game, blizz wouldn't do that to their fans, or they'd hear about it forever.

So, Zergling, Hydralisk and Mutalisk are given. I won't vote for Drone or Overlords since they're kind of obvious, but instead on Guardians and Scourges. I really hope they both make comebacks.

 

umm, you cant compare hydras to zealots and marines as the basic infantry.
zealots, marines, and zerglings are the basic infantry for the races, as they are the first combat unit for each race that no tech is required for, and only require minerals.
dragoons, firebats, and hydras are the secondary combat unit for all races, and require additional tech and a small ammount of vespene gas.

i do agree with you that hydras will most likely return, as there is so much concept art on them at blizzards site. and they had two scenes in the original cinematic trailer, right at the end.

 

I really hope Hydras do return... they were my favorite zerg unit and quite possibly the most iconic for the zerg as well. I think it would be strange if they didn't return in some form.

As for the rest I can't really say, I mean hope its just not a rehash of the same old units and that we will see some killer brand new units from the zerg with their own special ablities.
