    I'm surprised that no one has made a poll similar to this.

    Anyways, here is the question. Basically, we know almost everything for the Protoss and Terrans in SC2. Both races have made huge strides from SC1. My question is, out of those 2 races, which one has changed the most? Which race has the most unique change that attracted you? Which race has the cooler units and new mechanics?

    I think the Terran have had more of a CHANGE in their gameplay.

    I mean, the removal of the firebat? The addition of a cloaked AoE ground air unit?

    All Protoss did was get bigger and better units. The usual from the Protoss.

    I want Zerg!!! But protoss are good because of colossus.

    For me, I voted that both are equally cool.

    Terrans in general, has more changes in terms of their units that attracts me. That means that basically, I prefer the new Terran toys in general over the new Protoss Toys

    But what I really like for the Protoss in SC2 is their warp-in mechanic. That alone, beats out anything that the Terrans has to offer in SC2. Warp-in not only is a very unique and cool mechanic, but it also adds a lot of strategic depth for the Protoss arsenal. I can think of so many unique ways on using the warp-in mechanic. And I'm sure that once SC2 comes out, the pro gamers will use the warp-in mechanic in ways that we would have never have dreamed off.

    That is why I voted both are equally cool. Because both offer so many new and improved features over their SC1 counterpart that it's very hard for me to actually vote for 1 that really attracts me more.

    Yes, but the Protoss are already so focused on individual units and it's not exactly a DEPARTURE from their techniques in SC1. Don't forget that they had recall, which amounts to basically the same thing.

    It's just an improvement on existing technology. The Terrans have come up with some stuff that is COMPLETELY new. The Thor, for one, and the Banshee, Predator, and the Reaper. All COMPLETELY new units.

    For the Protoss, the only really NEW unit is the Colossus. Everything else is pretty much an adaptation of others ones. Like the Tempest, it's a Dark Templar Carrier. The Stalkers, same, and then the Immortal is just a response to seige tanks.

    There's nothing that really heralds a complete change in gameplay like what has occurred with the Terrans.

    I believe that the Terrans in SC2 are going to emphasis even more of their 1 shot momentum thing (Remy's term of doing a huge push and winning the game). Thors are going to build on that. The units that will stray from the 1 shot momentum would be the Banshees and Reapers as they are more of a hit and run type of units. But in reality, Terrans will still be the masters of the 1 shot momentum in SC2 and it will be their main strength in SC2. What they lack in SC1, which is their mobility, they make up with new units (Reapers and Banshees).

    Protoss got a lot of unique and cool units too. Stalkers blink ability is very unique and will really add to the strategic depth of the Protoss. Protoss like you mentioned Joneagle, are focused on individual power units. In SC2, they will add onto it. But what the Protoss's weakness in SC1 was that they were harder to regroup. If you lose your main force of army, it is a lot harder for you to make a comeback because Protoss units are more expensive and takes longer to build compared to the other races. In SC2, Blizzard fixed that problem by adding in the Warp-in mechanic. That way, if you lose your army, it is much easier to rebuilt your army because with the warp-in mechanic, you can regroup wherever you want.

    So in SC2, both the Protoss and the Terrans will emphasize even more on their strengths (Protoss individual power units and Terran's famous 1 shot momentum) but their weakness in SC1 will be covered with new units/mechanics.

    Warp in screams win. What I am hoping for also is that the teleport ability from the arbiter becomes a building based ability that allows you to move freely between psi grids. Like warp in only using pre-existing units.

    I'm not saying that the Terran and Protoss haven't changed a good amount, but i'm betting that the changes for Zerg are ganna be crazy and HUGE!

    Terrans off course!

    Now our little human friends got the greatest scouting/battlefield control ever with its new flares, scanners and radar stations. Additionally they gained a reactor, so its early game seems to be baised more on masses (great counter against the early Zerg!) Besides now new CC is a bigger dropship for SCV's ! And they can also salvage! And producing Fliers in air!

    in SC1 I played the Terrans, but now they seem to look strange .. I don't know cartoon like maybe. So voted for the Protoss (they have all the cool staff exept for the "new" carrier. But we are still waiting for the zerg :)

    I'm a Protoss player all the way, but the Terran are extremely interesting. They have all these random things, such as the Supply Depot's ability, but I'm into random. They're quite obviously designed for versatility, and their new models are amazing.

    If we are talking about which race has the most appealling changes I'd say Protoss. I like how they have so many new units that are completely unique and if the MS is returened to unique unit status they'd be even better.

    That said I still like the Terran more.

    protoss. the warp in, the mothership, the colossus. and the LASERS! even scouts shoots plasma missiles or something which sucks. phoenix!

    Protoss all the way man, the addition of the teleporting your units inside the battlefield and the mobile pylons. the colossus is a very nice and tactical unit.

    Well if you listened to some of the videos they said the Zerg were the most "whacky and crazy" so I would expect something abstract from them.

    Whatever it is it'll be AWESOME :p.

    For me the Terrans and the Protoss got the same changes. But I voted for the Terrans changes.

    Yeah, the Protoss, indeed, got the most changes. They are now prepared to finish with the zerg, and start a new war against the hybrids.

    I love them both i really do i cannot decide which one to pick.
    But protoss really "adapt" (but the real thing is that they're better from what's before) and it's much better than in sc1. Especially the phase cannons. When i played protoss it was really hard to regroup and put it all together and when your economy is attack it was like gg. but on this one thanks to the new mechanics, they're defense is a little bit mobile. I'm even thinking to put it to enemy's base along with colossus. Another thing is with warp-in. with the stalkers' blink ability u can harass again and again.(you cannot do that in sc1)
    Terrans is my first race that played during sc1 and if i am going to compare them both the turtle situation was brilliantly solved. Instead of building alot of structures just for addons i.e. Tech lab which is only for starport in sc1. But now in sc2 you can also use it for both different structures. Another thing is the supply depots. These things are more useful for defense rather than food supply.Radar is also nice for defending expo. These was not in sc1 ladies and gentleman. people can just get your expo which i really hate the most.
    So both are really attracting and i love the new mechanics. I cannot wait for zerg hope this time i can properly play all three races. Zerg is the only race im having a problem with probably because of micro and the way i play it. I gotta learn to play this race.
