When will be online EU server?

When will be online EU server? Or in eache country will be online at midnight 00:00 ?

 

They are probably already online. To answer your actual question; yes you can play right away once you get the game - no need to wait for other zones (eg. NA) to reach 00:00.

 

I hope you're right, stag. I just heard from a mate that he read somewhere that the activation happens at the same time everywhere - 10am for the US, which is about 4pm EU, etc. I don't know what to think now. Except that in this case I could get some sleep, then go all hardcore with it \o/

 

Hmm if they did do that there would be major traffic right? It seems 'smart' to spread the activation across timezones. I think the game has almost launched in Australia, anyone from that region can confirm this?

Edit: do we actually need the servers for the SP? Do we need the servers to authenticate the game when installing or does Blizzard use a seperate service for this (ie. no servers)?

Edit 2: midnight releases seem pretty silly if you couldn't start playing directly after purchase..

 

Sorry but i already have the game with cd key and when i lunch the install he ask me to wait until 27.07.2010 so ...

You need to activate it online, and it only seems feasible to have the activation and game servers on one server. But I just heard the complete opposite too that server activation happens ASAP. Anyway, we'll find it out soon enough. Energy drinks already in the fridge

 

I'm quite sure you need to activate the game even for single player, that's the actual protection, since keys on their own are cracked very fast.

 

But I want to find out now

 

@domanz: Stag asked whether the activation is done via the same service as the game servers. We all know how Blizzard attempts to fight piracy, but we don't know the specifics behind it that would allow us to make guesses regarding the topic.

And a confirmation that the patch is (only?) 40 MB.

 

Here in Romania is 18.50 PM 26th and the install is still asking me to w8 until 27 (

 

Here Austria (not Australia ^^) 18:25, tells me to wait until 27/7 too. I hope it works midnight.

nono i can't play yet, still 2 hours to go! i'm just saying that the game has launched in australia and korea amongst others
