...does the number of workers include the one you'd sacrifice to make a structure? More specifically - take a drone out from your mineral line to make a building, or make the drone specifically for building the structure?
Pretty much what they said, You really can't slow down your pace especially when working early game with Zerg.
as a note, I take the one that ISNT mining at the current time...as in the one that has JUST handed minerals into the Hatchery.
^ i think tahts common sense....i mean why would some1 take a drone that has a mineral in his claw and build somthing? tahts a waste of 5 minerals.
On rare occassion you do take a new drone made "specifically" for building the desired structure. This has to do more with BO timing than anything (you always make your 14th drone and it pops just as you reach 200 minerals for a pool, for example). Generally you take a drone from the mineral line, preferrably one that is about to drop off their minerals (and let them drop them off on their way out), as previously said. Posted zerg BOs will/should account for the drone use by noting the supply change. Eg. 10/10 to 9/10.
