I was just wondering what it would be like in an Overlord... like, how do you get in, what does it look like inside, stuff like that... anybody have any ideas?

Wow, great question. I don't really enjoy thinking about it, lol, but I am sure only those who are Zerg would want to find out physically.

I am sure Ventral Sacs are spacious, air-conditioned, and dry. I am sure they smell wonderful too.

LOL whenever you load or offload units to/from the overlord, you hear these "sounds". Those sounds don't make the ventral sacs sound dry at all, in fact it sounds very moist and sticky :D.
Nevertheless I DO actually want to take a ride in the overlord, it would be rather adventurous. Besides, by riding on an overlord you can always try to see if "spirits" or "ghosts" actually exist :p just hope no one kills the overlord while I'm on it.......

Uh huh. I imagine it would be something like that. Isn't it funny how Ultras are bigger, but two can fit? Tight squeeze there.

Fenix, you are a master of creating disgusting imagery. Pardon me while I wash out my brain with bleach.

Yea? Does the Overlord detect for those inside? Or just for itself, since it is an organism after all, and for the Cerebrate (the player)?

The overlord detects for all units. Say if a dark templar started slicing ur hydralisks, once you bring the overlord in, the hydras will see the DT and start attacking him. So it would be nice to check out any invisible creatures in the real world whilst riding in an overlord :D

Good point... that's kinda weird though, don't you think? Maybe not so much for the Zerg with their Overlord since they have like this universal mind (the Overmind, or Kerrigan or whomever), but for example the Terrans with their Science Vessel or the Protoss with their Observer... what, do they have some kinda technology that removes the stealthiness altogether? No that's not it either, cause they still appear er, how to put it, distorted? Not fully visible, or well, you see that they're stealthed even when detecting them...

    It's weird...

If a Protoss player mind controlled SCV and Drones and build their entire tech tree. That means Terran units can go onboard the overlord and terrans can also use the overlord's detection abilites. And when a protoss gets a ride inside an overlord - PERFECT!! (lol jk).

Seriously there's a lot of space in there to squeeze ultralisks or siege tanks ir reavers in.

Very weird.....I think how it works is that whatever they see blips up on the HUD of other units, for Terran, and then with the 'toss, the psionic link allows them to "see" the cloaked unit.

What's with the pneumatic carapace upgrade though? How would that increase the speed of a floating tentacle laden floating bag of gooey-sounding crap (no offence mr. Overlord)? Must be really gooey in there. that shlurping noise aint nice

I suppose it could mean it's stronger, lighter, and more streamlined, but I dunno how it make it's speed increase that much....

Which brings up and interesting point.

How do they move anyway? They have no wings, and there's only one other why I can think of.....
