What will happen to this site after...

starcraft 2 comes out?

will it be just for strategies?
or contests and stuff?
or just a place to hang out?

 

All three. SC2 MoTM etc.

 

I think it still will be still the most popular SC2 site, because of it's community and most succesfull forum system ever seen. About competetive SC2 gaming in this site not sure, unless admin finds second admin, who's interested making this site attractive for pro-gamers. Pro-gaming sites are usually based on staff, and in this site only admin factically have power to change something...

 

It will become a "ghost" town with no signs of activity... ever! Hah! Kidding, Everything will continue as it always has been except for the fact that we would actually be able to share and discuss our experiences with our hands on StarCraft 2. Gasmaskguy is right! Especially with the Map of the Month part

I seriously cannot wait to see what we are able to pull off with StarCraft 2.

After SC2 comes out, we'll all guess at the expansion.

I agree. Activity will most likely sharply increase as the release date gets closer.

I can't wait for the beta to be released so that we might have some more fresh information on here.

 

I think that in preparation for the inevitable encyclopedia of units that this site will have when the game comes out, we should start saving stats now so we can look back and laugh at how imbalanced the units were. Just imagine how much will change in 6 months.

 

and don't forget pictures, especially for the already axed units!

Hell yeah I've still got the video where the Protoss stuff are introduced. Phase Cannon, Tempest, Soul Hunter... (was that really a Protoss on a flying skateboard from Back to the future? pf)

 

What'll happen actually is that the very day SC2 comes out, the Hyperion will finally unleash their secret agenda and make a Communist Revolution of first the internet...then the world!

 

When StarCraft 2 comes out we will make topics like: "OMG SC2 is amazing!1!1!" But maybe more proper topics.

 

sc2forums will fall into the bowels of neglected and underused sites, the forum will become a ghost town of ppl unable to afford starcraft2, and inflation will skyrocket due to no items left in the store because it got shut down after the depression.

The site will still be running, but more videos will be found of people's replays and of threads talking about recent games where they ownd some random noob online. I plan to stay on this site, it's too much fun to talk with random strangers about a game that I haven't played for too long.

 

So I'll still be here ;D

I hope there will be StarCraft3 but after some time so we could get better graphics and everything. Just not as long as we waited for StarCraft2.
