    In the Alpha and Beta testing timeframes for the Original starcraft what was the race Zerg originally named as? and why was the name changed?

    the tyranids. wasn't SC originally supposed to be a Warhammer 40k RTS, but then scrapped, kind of like how Warcraft was originally a Warhammer RTS that fell through?
