I have an onboard Graphics card which makes sc2 look really bad, it can only run on the lowest setting

I have a compaq 1.99ghz 1.14 gigs of ram, whats a video card that can run sc2 on the best setting? I dont want to spend a lot of money, but ill spend whats neccessary. Thanks!

By getting a better video card I can run it on high without any lagging with the above specs right?

well I can tell you right now that with those specs even with the best card in the world you'll barely be able to play it on minimum. If I were you I'd save some cash and buy a better pc.

Running a video game is not just about the video card. CPU and RAM are very important too, and you're lacking on both. I'd say you'd need at least a 3.0 ghz cpu and 2 gigs of ram to run the game on medium settings, AND a moderate video card.

Cool well I'm glad I posted first before buying one, I know my specs were far from great, but I thought they were descent for a video game.

I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I grew up on SC, so just wanted to mess around on the beta a couple games before it ended, but I'm getting a new laptop soon anyways which will have enough ram and a good processor so I will just need a good video card.

what's the resolution of your monitor?

and what kind of CPU do you have? the clockspeed doesn't actually tell very much. RAM is a little lacking.
