Below are the specs for my PC, currently I can play SC2 on Medium graphic settings, but during stages with a lot of mobs like the last stage were you battle the zerg the game slows down quite a bit, so I have to lower my settings. I'm thinking that a new video card should fix this, althought the NZONE website CAN I RUN IT? from NVIDIA also says I should upgrade my OS. Anyone out there with a Windows XP OS and a decent graphics card able to run the game on High graphic settings? Can anyone recommend a decent video card that will be a major upgrade to the one I currently have?

You haven't posted enough information, please read my FAQ and post the FULL dxdiag dump. You can zip/rar the text file and attach it to a post.

But yeah, a new card would allow you to play with a lot more units, etc. We can provide recommendations, but we need to know more about your system.

The Pentium D 3.2 GHz is bound to be a bottleneck on faster cards.

goto star menu - run, dxdiag, then from that window that populates, save txt file and post

Also the slow choppy or low fps happens in larger unit games, or with tons of units engaging in battle, I had that issue and same cpu as you. I would get liek 1 fp/10 seconds. I upraded my cpu and this fixed the issue.
