For fun.

Forum users should not gain, either monetarily or otherwise, from hosting a competition. A Power Up is fine, something like 'Hey, great competition idea' or some such thing. However, when it gets to where the host is making more than the actual winners, well....

Therefore, forum competitions that require a fee to enter should be closely maintained, and the the prizes should equal either exactly or more than the total entry submissions.

if everyone expected something for their services/help then we wouldn't have even half of what we have now. Competitions involve play money, some blue stuff that doesn't even exist outside our heads. Is that really what matters to you or the fun in making the competition/entering one? Not even Inside gets anything for hosting an official competition with new rounds every month.

So if karlo creates a competition = karlo doesn't get anything except for a pat on the back and a little more credit.

The only time you are allowed to keep some of the minerals you earn is if you are doing a clan fundraiser but even in that case its the clan that gets to keep them. Not you.

If you did otherwise than the second someone finds out a mod will take more than what you earned off running the competition and several members will power you down for scamming people

Karlo if you didn't understand, People host competitions for fun, and entertainment, nothing for themselves. Have you ever been to like a racing competition? What does the host get? It's for fun, sometimes there doesn't have to be prizes, or w/e it could just be for fun. kuvasz is also asking you this, SC2 made these forums, and he has to pay for it, so whats his benefit? Think about that.

Now please listen to kuvasz's advice and actually think before you make topics.

I wouldn't compare it to any real life competitions. These wouldn't be made if there were no money to gain this way or another
