What is your hand placement like on the keyboard when you play?

I have a Logictec G13, which I use for everything else but it doesn’t have enough buttons for Starcraft 2 unless I use a more complicated button set (which I just don’t want to do... maybe later once I get the game down better) so most of the time when im playing I keep my right hand on my mouse and the left in a basic qwerty typing position.

I was practicing my build last night and realized just how much reaching and moving around im doing; I also do not like to take my hands off the mouse/keyboard and I try not to look down but I catch myself doing these things constantly.

Does anyone else have this same problem?

This seems like an important thing that i've actually never head anyone address or even talk about.

 

From playing FPS games for a while, I naturally have my left hand on A-S-D-W. I am a protoss player, and most of my hotkeys are in that area.

I believe blizzard did it on purpose to have most of the hotkeys on the left side of the keyboard. Do what is most comfortable, and get to knowing your hotkeys.

Tricks you can do to manage your hotkeys: For protoss, when I want to build an immortal, I bind 8 to my robotics, because my hotkey for Immortals is " i " which is right under.
