What is Your Favorite Age of Empires Game?

I love the AoE series of games. Which one was your favorite.

Post reasons why and what civilization you liked best in that game.

 

I love them too. But I like Age of Mythology better. It's cool.

personally i like aoe2 the most, i remember when garrison towers, castles and gates where first introduced i was like whoaa

AoE2 was awesome, I always played as the Britons because of their 1337 Long Bowman.

AoE3 was ok, but didn't have that feel to it like it's predecessors. But the Ottomans were the shizzle. Jannisaries + Abun Guns = rape.

 

Vikings from AoE2. I liked them because of their naval superiority, their cool looking unique unit and their unit sounds ;D

 

The Teotons from aoe2 kick @ss, they can garrison more people in thier towers then others, and heal faster inside them, plus the teotonic knights are cheap and have a lot of armor

Age of mythology and age of empire's 2 rock but I voted for age of mythology! , just alot better graphic's and storyline plus mythical creature's! EGYPTION pwn! and I got the titan's expansion OMG they are strong those titan's!

How so? , their expensive , long time to get out of the ground thing , alot of popularion to take! and are hard to kill! , just pump out alot of unit's , alot of archer's and solider's to keep it busy , chariot's harras it!

 

Yeah, AoM is the best IMO, and Atlanteans pwn everybody. Just try to defeat 30 champion hero fanatics. And the citizens are much better + the favor gathering + the coolest looking civilization by far and very strong units.

 

I like 3. The home city is really interesting. Also the Dutch economy is quite nice since banks gather gold for free without taking up popcap allowing you to have more soldiers

 

3 was awesome, even if it was just because i could play with the dutch(i actually am dutch)

 

I agree. Atlanteans can even gather resources everywhere. They're the best.

 

Hmm...

I really like the story telling style of AoE one and two (I need to play those again)

But Three has, by far, the most intresting strategy elements.

Although, to be honest, I just kill everyone with a strelet rush.
