What is this unit?

Look at the top left of the picture. You will see this large unit with a six sharp spines coming out of a green goo covered middle part of the unit. You can also see what I think is it's reflection on the creep. And on the reflection is almost looks like a green cocoon, like those caterpillar cocoons.
Tell me what you think. I've heard things about the spine crawler, and I think this might be it.

I think that you can also see a Queen next to the main building. I'm wondering which level she is in.

 

That's actually a building....I forget which one.

 

That's a Baneling Nest. Enables the Baneling mutation.

 

Ewwwww, It's gross... I mean really, I think it's a terrible building design!

 

Let me ask a different question about the same screenshot: What is that large thing that is a little bit left of the center of the shot?
It looks more building-ish than unit-ish, but I still don't recognize it.

 

i think you are thinking of the infestion pit, the infestor tech building.

this is off topic but lol i thought there were insects on my screen, i tried to get rid of them twice but it was just birds flying in your signature. yeh, im in a dark room. ^^

yeh the infestor buildings looks like a unit, it looks nice to be a unit.

 

looks better than the actual infestor.

 

yeah, it does kinda look better then the infester itself, but it still looks kinda like the acual infester to.
