what is this mineral and gas stuff for?

hey can anyone explain what these pets are? the buy pets i think they are called. I was wondering what the point of them are. please tell me

 

You must construct additional pylons.


The minerals are gained from posting, you can spend them on pets. The only thing pets are there for is to show off that you have pets. Go to the top right where it says shop.

 

think of pets as a forum collectors item, mainly the blue, 1st edition ones, as they are limited compared to the yellow version.

We don't use gas here, though some other sc2 sites do.

The same thing I think. I am not registered to any of them, I just seen it when I was checking them out.

EMR is registered to a couple others.

 

Oh and remember, you only get minerals if it's not in spacejunk.
(And 99% of the threads are)

 

And if you don't feel like posting, you can publish articles and post useful information on SC2, which also gives you minerals, reputation, etc. Yeah they're all virtual and actually worthless but they're fun to fool around with.

or....you could do like me and contribute in other ways. Take for example, I've been working on pet icons, the first to get updated is the zerg queen(yesterday). I also just finished resizing all the hero icons as they were all 32x32 instead of 38x38, but Lord hasn't upodated them yet (im sure you'd notice my comparing my kerrigan icon to the other icon sizes).

 

Are you saying you got something for them? If so then sc2 better not return until I forget about my contribution :laugh:

 

I got some minerals for giving Lord a zerg queen pic to use for the shop's icon, instead of them continuing to use an overseer pic for it.
