They should add a new feature that avoid leavers, just like a new option where it says:
    Leavers allowed
    yes [ ] no [ x ]
That kind of stuff.. now the only problem would be people that join and afk during the whole time so that would kind of suck. So, maybe, they could make it that when someone leave, everybody at the end gets a win because of the unfairness, just like people that do ally victory, except that most people don't AE and kill you even if it was a 4v2 for them.

This idea could not really be exploited since the leaver would receive a lose and that if you want a free win you may aswell do 7v1 comp stomp.

Any anti-leaver feature would be awesome, I hate when people leave the game after 2 minutes and the opponents don't AE, free loses just really suck.

    /rant off

what i think they should do is if some one leaves or is AFK for more them like say 5 min and you can set time for that they will get replaced with a really strong comp like full power as a good human player would be
like if some one is akf for what ever time you set it to they automatically leave and turns into a good working comp with like commands you can make the comp make D make offense both what ever that would be so amazing!!

yeah the adding bots would be nice for leavers, but make them relative to a persons skill based on win/loss ratio.
i personally loved controlling 2 bases in WC3 as long as the initial 5 minutes has passed.

OR you could do it just like WarCraft 3 where if someone leaves you get complete control of their stuff but they have separate minerals and gas which is used for all the stuff you get with their buildings and stuff.

Also, you won't have free wins in StarCraft 2 like you did in StarCraft from 7v1 comps because I'm almost positive (99.99_%)they will have an improved version of the random match making/arranged team match making system where you only play against actual people in the games that are counted as wins/losses and you only play on real maps.

Another option is to only play 1v1 games.

Burkid: Yeah, but you shouldn't play if you know you have to eat in 10 minutes/go to work, etc.. and anyway it'll most likely (not in every cases I know) be your fault if you leave the game and it penalizes your teammates, hooray -_-.

And I know it'll be different in SC2 because tons more people will play, but as it is now in SC1, you'll rarely find a 1v1, they're all 2v2/3v3/4v4 (and always fastest map >.<) and they removed Ladders (correct me if I'm wrong, I'd love to be)

i dont like 1v1 lol and yea i do hope they fix the free win make it 4 on 4 3 on 3 2 on 2 ect. but i think ur right its probly going to give you control of the player that leaves stuff but i still think that comps would be so cool

you'd think comps would be cool but really they wouldn't because comps are not fun to play against (too easy) and not fun to play with (don't actually help)

no i mean like new comps made to fit what a normal play would play as and you can make then make a D mack attack or both what ever it would be cool

I'd rather just control a player if they leave. I'm usually better than people who leave anyways. Because, well, they leave.

It's like controlling your units. Except they are someone elses. Except they are really yours too now.
So, it's like having two bases which may or may not be the same race.

sometimes my friends come and say "hey, lets go to dinner" or "hey, lets get drunk" or "hey, lets go do something" and let me tell you, there is no way in hell I would sit and play a computer game over any of those.

But they can for sure add something so other people don't get a free loss =P, I had to quit in the middle of a game too like most people, and it sure does piss people off. Even when it's someone in the other team that leave, there's just no more fairness. But anyway back to topic, I'd like a system to prevent leavers, not to suck people into the games so they can't leave without dissing 1/2/3 other person/people.

I'm pretty sure if you leave and your allies win the game you get a win too (which was dumb when all three of my allies left within the first 10 seconds and I won on my own against 4 people in WarCraft 3). So there really is never any fairness in the game because everyone is a different skill level. They try to get skill levels approximately right but I would not have beaten 4 people of my skill level alone even though I had 4 armies and 4 bases. You will NEVER get a system that prevents people from leaving the game. And if a few losses from people leaving really has that big of an effect on your win/loss percentage, play more games or be better.

I usually stayed around 60-65% wins in WarCraft 3 for team games. Most losses come from the fact that my allies were just outright horrible. Maybe 2% of the games were actually close. And 5% of the games were caused by people actually backstabbing - not leaving but destroying their base at the very beginning or destroying an ally's base partway through the game.

Sometimes, I'm not sure if they fixed this, you (everyone joining that game) would get an automatic loss because someone was for some reason unable to join the random match making game.
