What PC games were you playing when you were small? What are your All Time Favorites?

I remember playing Heroes 3 all the time on my brothers computer. I love HoMaM. I cried when we lost the cd which was a big trouble back then. Of course Age of Empires one and two. Loved it. Although I never really won, I didnt care. I always was and I still am a builder - RP freak who does not hesitate to risk losing the game just so the buldings look organised.
The thing that gave the gaming its magic was the fact that I could play only limited time a day on brothers computer, which made me enjoy the game time even more. When my brother got his own computer I got the old one, with 4 GB HDD, and got to play Fallout 2. Uh, spend ages on that.

To be honest I dont know what classical games I havent played. It might be interesting to hear your own experience so I can compare my gaming history to yours.

EDIT: Deleted the bloody supersized smilies! USA and their overdone merchandise!

Sadly I never played a video game until I was 8-9 years old when we moved back to the states. The first console videogame I played was Super Smash Bros., and since then, I've always liked Nintendo.

Age of Empires 1 was my favorite game as a kid. I almost always used the Eqyptians because of thier chariot life bonus. Also used the Chosen because of thier +2 tower range. Sadly, I havent played that game in years since I lost it when I got AoE2 and eventually AoE3.

    Final Fantasy Tactics: Advanced
    WoW

Ha. I played some really retro games. I got into Lemmings and Commander Keen 4 really early on. I then began to become more of an rts freak as our first "good" computer came with Starcraft on it. Now that i think back, in the first Protoss mission its probably not the best idea to send my units in 1 by 1. hehehe.

I had a family friend who combated my Starcraft with his Warcraft 2. I soon won him over and made a formidable foe. He smashes me now. :(

Diablo also came with my first computer but i didn't think much of it, but Diablo 2 was what brought the inner role player out in me. But yeah, mainly been brought up on a diet of blizzard and am much healthier for it :).

WarCraft2, Worms2, RollerCoaster Tycoon1 and Croc were classics. I never owned a console or anything had never got into FPS's. There were a fair few cheap games that I enjoyed as well though, like GTA1 (the best one of the lot), Kings Quest (Alexander feels a strange pulling sensation!), Cricket '96 (SHIFT-D!), and a whole bunch of others. I remember the very first games I played, and I'm talking the very first ones ever, were on floppy disks. Gods bless 'em!

I was thinking of making similar topic in near future :)

The first game I remember playing was Supaplex - anyone ever heard of it?

Scorched Earth (the mother of all games ;p) - the ancestor of worms, playing with up to ten people on family meetings was great

Heretic - out of the early FPSes this one's my fave because of it's fantasy setting, I still play it every few years or so

HoMM series - I still remember when dad brought the first game one evening, neither of us knew english so we tried to figure out what's what on our own. We played on "Claw" so our castle was separated from others by a pack of Gryphons. They were like the strongest enemies in the game back then xD

All 3 of the Blizzard's big franchises are self explainable I think.

Nox - Outstanding gameplay with lots of elements that other RPGs should learn from it, like jumping, destructible object, or aiming on your own instead of "chance to hit" like stats. I played it over 20 times, too bad it never got a sequel :(

Populous 3: The Beginning - Extremely simple to pick up and play and even more fun. Wide range of diverse spells, many of which affected terrain permamently. Nothing beats sinking your opponent's entire village

I'm not into tycoons etc but I also always liked Transport Tycoon Deluxe

Oh yeah... CS 1.6. I remember trying to get it for - years once I got internet. It was before no steam version vanished. I kept downloading warez versions with my 10 bit/s internet and managed to play it about 20 minutes a day with 400 ping. But the atmosphere was worth it! :)
However I got to play Half-Life without having to worry about my internet or legal version. That game made me fall in love with Valve and their games.

The first games I remember playing were Commander Keen and Duke Nukem, both on floppy. At some point I had Starcraft, although it disappeared out of my life for years to come. GEX brings memories. I played it a lot.

    Anyways, my favorite games.

    RTS: Starcraft BW.
FPS: Half Life 2 (including episode one, two, Portal and CS Source).
    RPG: Diablo 2.
    Racing: Flatout
    RETRO: GEX.

Based on games that are so good, that I always come back to when the hits of the moments are becoming dull.

    Counter-Strike 1.5/ Source
    Final Fantasy Tactics
    Castlevania Symphony of the night
    Metroid Prime
    Final Fantasy 6

Based on games I enjoyed a lot, without playing them more than 20 times.

    God Of War 1 / 2
    Half Life series
    Portal (100% Achivements) :D
Devil May Cry (almost finished Dante must die)
