Hey guys I know most of us have heard about Blizzard planning a World of Warcraft movie. In fact Uwe Boll wanted to be the director of it but Blizzard laughed him off. Well I just found out that Blizzard picked a writer to write up he script. They choose Sam Raimi who wrote that script for Saving Private Ryan. There's a lot more news about it that I'm too lazy to write but you can read it all here: http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2009/10/1...ds-saving-private-ryan-writer-says-sam-raimi/

Yep, and also.. not too long ago the movie was going to be centered around 'unknown' characters living in the world of Azeroth (kind of lame if you ask me).. but now, APPARENTLY, given the fact that the title of the movie changed (from Warcraft to Warcraft: Rise of the Lich King) ... I think It would be safe to assume that the movie will be centered around Arthas himself. Probably we will see him in his early beginnings.. all the way up to Icecrown.

That would be epic if they followed to the storyline of WC3 with that many characters. I hope this could be a long movie or perhaps a trilogy hopefully. If someone is to be a director for this I hope it could be Peter Jackson or Spielberg, coz they usually go for this kind of movies. Anyways, saving P.Ryan was one of my favorite movies. Me and my buddies use to play Call of duty and give ourselves names from the cast of saving private Ryan. I remember one character Opum and He is one funny soldier during that panic scenario in the movie.

I hope they also could cast good actors for this movie.

Peter Jackson is still eating donuts. Get it? Donuts? Halo movie he has been trying to make for ages now?

Ah, nevermind. I just hope that it doesn't incorporate lore from WoW. That would suck for a movie.

Also: Starcraft would be way better suited for a movie.

actually, the re-emergence of the silithid and the fall of the scarab wall would be a very cool movie.

or maybe something that makes sense out of the outland storyline.

Street Fighter was about a guy. A guy who like, fought on the streets. Not interesting.

Warcraft and Starcraft have so much lore behind them that you could make dozens of movies.

    *IDEA EXPLOSION*

How about a Warcraft/Starcraft show in the same way as that cgi Star Wars show? It would be awesome beyond comprehension.

**** dude. Street Figher from the 90's was awesome. Except for Bison being a skinny old man.

And from what I can recall, the movie is going to be in between Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft.

Where's my Diablo movie? Really. That **** would be intense.

I really don't like that it's going to be about WoW, we all know it will (that's if it is even made).

Warcraft 1/2/3 are the best games of lore, WoW is just stupid.

It's funny how people hate on any progression of lore made in WoW. The argument I always hear on why people think lore in WoW is stupid is because it's different from the RTS games.
"OMG Tarruen can't be priests and Night Elves can't be mages! It's not in the established lore!"
There are quests that show the progression of how and why the classes are going to be introduced. Not to mention we're talking about 2 races that got retconed into the lore via war3. Good thing too, Orcs V Humans would be a little stale by now if nothing ever changed.

    On the movie:
I've heard that the whole Arthas spin is just the name at IMDB and very much subject to change as a script hasn't been written. I very much so hope the movie isn't just the story of War3. Sure Arthas is an interesting and complex character, but we already know his story.

I don't much care for Rammi's recent works. The Spiderman 3 and Drag me to Hell both sucked. I wish they'd just Metzen to do it.

Off topic, wasn't there a SC anime movie that was in the works?

No idea, but Spiderman 3 indeed sucked. I mean, it was so cliche and predictable in the end.
